A Must Read for any Child!!

This is such a wonderfully written book with a great message! I love the illustrations, rhymes, and most of all that it tells kids they can be ANYTHING they want to be!! Such a fun read :) I highly recommend this for any parent, teacher, or anyone who has a child in their life!

    Awesome!

Each child depicted reminds me of someone in elementary school. As I was reading the book to my niece I could not help but change my "attitude" and voice depending on who was talking. My niece made me read it three times. She said she wants to be a doctor!

    Very positive and fun book!

We read about fourteen books a week with our seven year old daughter and she loved this one. Great artwork and an encouraging storyline. Very positive and fun book!

    Perfect! Check it out!

What Do You Want to Be? sends the message that children need to dream and dream big! This book is perfect for any adult or even older child to lead a younger child into a discussion about the positive possibilities of their future. Ms. Cater did an excellent job of giving each character in the book a specific personality, one that anyone can relate to, and I love her subtle use of rhyme. I highly recommend this book.

Children, parents and teachers will love this!

First, I'm the author so let me explain why I wrote this book. With all the dreary unemployment news, I feared children were thinking there would never be a job for them when they grew up. We all know kids are little sponges and worriers...so, I wrote a picture book featuring the teacher, Mrs. McGee, who asks that important question: What do you want to be?

The students excitedly (and sometimes shyly) shout out their career aspirations from dancer to fireman to nurse. Many other delightful occupations are mentioned in verse. At the end of the day, Mrs. McGee emphasizes why learning is so important.

I hope you'll enjoy this timeless picture book that is beautifully illustrated by Leo Silva.
