Overview

If you had one day to live what would you do? Would you plant a tree? Would you rob a bank? Would you tell someone how you really feel?

What Do You Want to Do Before You Die? is an illustrated collection of your wildest dreams. Two hundred of the most moving, imaginative, amusing, and thought-provoking things to do before you die are brought to life through handmade art curated by Dave, Duncan, Jonnie and Ben—the founders of The Buried Life.

These four regular guys are on a mission to complete a list of 100 things before they die, and for every item they accomplish, they help a total stranger do something on his or her own to-do list. Peppered throughout the book are lessons, secrets, and stories that come from five years of asking millions worldwide:What do you want to do before you die?

Reasons you'll like this book:

Your life could change dramatically. (Ours did.)

You could do things you never dreamed of. (We have.)

You could feel the joy of being alive.

Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble

"Open the six o'clock news. Lead a parade. Get a tattoo. Start a dance in a public place. Go down a mountain on a long board. Attend a party at the Playboy Mansion. Get in a real NBA match. Ride a bull. Destroy a computer. Learn to fly." On their MTV reality show, the four guys who form The Buried Life attempted to complete an ambitious bucket list of 100 activities that would probably leave Lance Armstrong panting with exhaustion. In What Do You Want To Do Before You Die? they double the number of items on their wish list by helping total strangers do something on his or her own to-do roster. This illustrated book invites readers to open themselves to new possibilities. A trade paperback and NOOK Book original.

Meet the Author

Duncan Penn, Ben Nemtin, Dave Lingwood, and Jonnie Penn—collectively known as THE BURIED LIFE—are four guys who have set out to live their dreams and help other people do the same. In the last five years, they have reconnected a father and son, survived on a deserted island, streaked through a stadium, and played basketball with President Obama. They have appeared in countless outlets, from The Oprah Winfrey Show to The New York Times, Forbes to Us Weekly. When they are not crisscrossing the country inspiring generations of people to live out their dreams, they can be found in Los Angeles, their home base.

This Book Will Help You Appreciate How Good Life Really Is.
I am not familiar with the authors or their program, but read the book on the recommendation of a friend. I was not disappointed. Amid all the horrible crime dramas on TV, here come a group of guys who set out to help people improve their lives. No blood, no gore, no sex (too bad ;)). These guys are an inspiration to the normal folk out there who are just trying to make it through every day. The stories in this book made me tear up, laugh at times, and want to call my parents to tell them how much I appreciate them.
    I highly recommend this book.
Another great, inspirational read that most people haven't heard of is "In Stitches," by Dr. Anthony Youn. It's a funny, heartwarming, and sometimes sad memoir about becoming a doctor. If you like "What Do You Want To Do Before You Die," I think you'll really like "In Stitches" too.
Another book I'd recommend for fans of this book is Wade Rouse's "It's All Relative," from another lesser known author.
