Meet the Author

M.N. Forgy was raised in Missouri where she still lives with her family. She's a soccer mom by day and a saucy writer by night. M.N. Forgy started writing at a young age but never took it seriously until years later, as a stay-at-home mom, she opened her laptop and started writing again. As a role model for her children, she felt she couldn't live with the "what if" anymore and finally took a chance on her character's story. So, with her glass of wine in hand and a stray Barbie sharing her seat, she continues to create and please her fans.

$4.00 for 30 pages! Am I missing something here? 30 pages is book report, not a book.

3.5 I was left confused and frustrated stars! M.N. Forgy's debut novel What Doesn't Destroy Us is a MC club story that shows a more gritty and "real" side in a biker romance.  The Devil Dust MC is a club that doesn't shy away from murder, drugs or guns and Shadow is the Sargent At Arms in the club and up until he meets Dani he deals with his dark side by killing for hire.  Dani is a sheltered innocent that suddenly has her life turned upside down when she discovers where she really belongs. What Doesn't Destroy Us was an interesting take on a MC story with a few twists and turns I NEVER saw coming.  M.N. Forgy was able to take two characters that seem to be complete opposites and mesh them together in a way that makes sense (while heating up your Kindle).  I enjoyed getting to know the cast of characters that make up The Devil's Dust MC and hope to get to dive deeper into these personalities in books to come, especially Shadow. Doesn't Destroy Us is a start to a new series and the ending will leave you shocked and confused (maybe a bit mad too).  I didn't see the direction M.N. Forgy was going to take this book and while I applaud the twist I am still trying to wrap my head around the last 20%.  If you are a fan of MC biker books then M.N. Forgy is a new voice in a genre that you should try.  I will keep my eye out for the next book in the series since I need to know how this puzzle is going to get solved.

I was gifted this book for an honest review by author M.N. Forgy. This is book 1 of the Devil's Dust series by the author. Dani has grown up doing everything her mother told her to do but it never was good enough. Now she finds out she has a father and he is the president of a motorcycle club. When bad things start to happen it is all Dani can do to survive it but to be betrayed by your own blood was the last thing Dani thought would happen to her. The author created some great characters in this book and how they act with each other is really very good. The story line flow in this book was smooth as glass and I really enjoyed the book. This book is for mature readers because of the adult language and sexual content. This book contains drugs, sex, betrayal, and violence.

Good story. Wish they would advertise this has a cliffhanger. Hense the three stars. Would have been four otherwise. Glad it was free. Won't buy the second or however many books it takes to complete this story. I wish others wouldn't either. This appears to be a new trend; authors taking two, often times many more books to conclude the story. If you continue to buy the rest of the books the authors will continue to do multiple books for one story sometimes costing upwards of $25!! As much as you want to know how the story ends...please don't support authors that do this!

Loved this book. Big cliffhanger ending. Totally worth reading though. If the second book is as good as this one, it will be well worth it. Cant wait to start reading the next book. A big 5 stars in my opinion.

Gave it 5 stars for the story line alone. One of the best MC books I have read in a while. Can't wait for the next one and yes you will have to get book 2 if you want to see how it ends. But it is 235 pages so it isn't a installment book. Well worth the read and wait for 2nd book

Loved this book until it just stopped. If a book is a serial it needs to clearly labeled as such- and I would nit have bought it.

I love MC books and this1 is one of the best books I've read! I love the loyalty and brotherhood of the MC but I really love the stories within the story in this book. Shadow and his past, Shadow and Dani's trust issues, and Bull and Dani trying to build a father daughter relationship, Sadie aka Lady, well she's a story on her own, a real piece of work. MN Forgy really made these character real, such excellent writing. I look forward to the rest of the stories.

The explanation of hot/cold reactions between the MCs hold some logic and make a sort of sense, but I just stopped caring. I don't know what I expected since a lot of my complaints aren't atypical of the gene (misogyny, dominance, justification of indulgence for him, but major double standard of expected obedience/innocence for her, etc) and none of it is my cup of tea. I just felt like Dani went from sheltered to "I'm totally okay with everyone's loose morals sans any identifiable code of Honor and will absolutely embrace all demons and vices. Let's party because this all makes sense to me" in a flash with the only explanation being "issues: she's got 'em and a temper to spare since she's been so subservient all her life." I can't say I hated it, but I won't say I like it ever either.

As a fan of biker books, I was disappointed in this one. As others have said, the first 2/3 was good, not great, but the final chapters were terrible. A 3 star rating was being generous.....no more for me!!!!!

I flew through this book. It was fast paced. This is your basic motorcycle mayhem book. Violence, love, sex, jealousy, suspense and a cliffhanger.
