Overview

The eighteenth book in this popular series!

Abby is ecstatic about her family's plans for a vacation in Paris. But when they get there, it's more of the same old thing: her siblings fighting non-stop, with nobody able to agree on so much as where to eat dinner. Abby feels a connection to the city, though -- after all, it's the home of many famous writers. So she decides to take matters into her own hands...and go off on an adventure of her own....

Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Vicki Foote
Abby is a congenial sixth-grader who likes to write. Part of each chapter contains what she writes in her journal about her school and family life, and part of each chapter is the narrative. Abby finds out that she will be able to have an article published in the newspaper about her trip with her family to Paris, so she writes about each day of the trip. Her descriptions of their adventures are amusing and reveal a lot of her personality. Readers of Abby's age will identify with her reactions and comments. Abby and her twin sisters become separated when they visit the Eiffel Tower, and things become confused and hectic before they are safely resolved. Lighted hearted and wholesome, this book in the series about Abby is interesting and fun. It should be enjoyable for new readers and those who have been following this series. Reviewer: Vicki Foote
