    Excellent Read

Elvis Has Not Left the Building written by J.R. Rain and is in this book as a second story in the book. It was great thinking what Elvis would be doing now if he had just disapired instead of dying. Great read and couldn't put my Nook down until I finished this wonderful story. The ending was the best ever!

Gemma Halliday's books are such a fun read! I have read most of her books and her books are kind of like Stephanie Plum's Detective stories!

Different than usual, but enjoyed it!

I am a recent new fan of Gemma Halliday. It took some getting used to reading the chapters as the different characters, but it was refreshing that it was different. Another light, easy read. The second story by JR Rain was interesting as well as there are still so many people that think Elvis is still alive and kicking. This added a layer that was needed for the story, as otherwise it would not have been all that great.

    Not what I was expecting

Having read some of Gemma Halliday, I thought this might be a humorous book, but it isn't, it's good, but not what I was expecting. Ms. Halliday writes in the first person, and she is one of the handful of authors who does this well. I was confused for a bit because of the first person language. That was until I realized you needed to read the chapter headline to figure out who this part of the story was about. There are 4 people who feature in this book, and each one has their own story, the different chapters tell a different part of a persons story. Once I figured out I needed to read the chapter headline I enjoyed the book, not as much as her High Heel series, but still.....

    Different from her usual.....

I love Gemma Halliday's books, but found this one to be not as good. Each chapter is written from a different character's perspective, so it is a different style for her. Much more awkward than her usual style, but still a good book.

Regarding the second book - loved it. More like Halliday's style than her book was. Funny, witty, and over the top. An enjoyable read.

    DEMIGOD: WHATS HAPPENING? Ch.2

Chapter 2, /// The Arival /// I woke up in some strange cot thing. Two figures stood at the foot of my cot. They were obviously arguing back and forth. "What if he's a titan?" Said the figure to the left. "Percy, I think we both know Cletus would have killed this boy if he was a titan." Said the figure on the right. "That dragon should of killed selena then if he can sense triators, Chiron." Said Percy. "Miss Bueregard had no such intensions. As we both know, she was asphyxiciated." Replied chiron. I looked up and around. I thought the area looked like some old hospital. "Hes awakend!" Said chiron. I looked at him throughly. He was a normal looking man except for... "woah...your legs there...there...huh?" I managed. He was half man half horse like a centaur. A CENTAUR...THE HYDRA!!! This cat be happening. "Ah, a well expected remark." Siad chiron. "Whats your name boy?" "Uhh..i dont know...exactly...people call me stitch." "Uh huh, do you have any friends?" He said. I kept staring at his legs. "Ummm...yeah one." I said. "And who would that be?" Urged Percy. "Now, now percy dont rush him," "Edge...Edge Durren," I said. " Then my suspicions are finalized...you are a demigod... Edge, boy, come here." I looked to my left as i saw my best friend edge coming over to my cot...he had something different about him. Because HIS legs looked like a... "GOAT!" I yelped "Yeah hey," he replied. Chiron looked from him to me. Then once more to me..."Do you know this boy, edge?" "As good as all..." edge said. "Then stitch you are a demigod as i suspected," Chiron siad to me. "And edge is your protecter. He is a satyr." "What?" I managed. (Continued on next result,)

First book 4 stars, second one star

The first book was a fun lighted hearted romp, like all of Gemma Hollidays books and i enjoyed it. The second one was weird and i gave up after chapter two.

    It's okay, but...

These were a quick and easy read, but they were not up to Gemma Halliday's usual standards.

Did not like this book at all.

I wanted this as I love Janet Evanovich and was told if you like her, you'll like Gemma Halliday.
