He may well be this generation's Billy Graham, but Gideon feels spiritually bankrupt. On the revival and evangelical circuit since a child, he now commands arenas full of seekers and leads thousands to a relationship with Christ. Feeling stifled by his gilded cage, wanting to experience "life" as his brother calls it, Gideon escapes his handlers for a cruise alone, or so he thinks. To his delight there is a passenger aboard, a woman he met shortly before his departure.
In a not so coincidental meeting, Zoey and Gideon find the love they both searched for. But when things go too far, they find that sin can also destroy that love.
What happens when a man of God stumbles? When the world finds out and the media begins to hound him? Will he ever recover his ministry? What does God want from him, anyway?

"Out." Donovan said, prodding Edward awake. "Come on, I said out." Edward glared at him through sleepy eyes. "I can't move." Edward complained, trying to sit up, but failing. Donovan looked down at the blonde, realizing that there were chains on his hands, d that his legs were pinned by the cover of the box. "Sorry." Donovan said, unlocking the chains and lifting up the cover. "Just don't try to escape." Donovan snapped a collar on the boy, not telling him it was an electric collar. For dogs. "Let me go. I'm not needed by you bastards anymore, so why even keep me?" Edward growled, trying to pull his arm away from Donovan's iron grip. "Leverage. Colt said that if the military doesn't do our bidding, we could use you as a way to get them on their knees." Donovan replied, dragging Edward to the house that was nestled in the woods. "Donovan! We were worried that you wouldn't make it! And you have the State Alchemist? Good jib!" A man said, his head out the door. "We have the recording devices set up!" "Good." Donovan said. Edward pulled free at this moment, and took off at a sprint. He made it to the edge of the woods before an electric shock spread throughout his body. Edward screamed in agony, then dropped to the ground. Edward tried crawling away from the woods, but another shock of electricity hit him. "Here he is." Donovan said, picking up Edward's body. Edward was shaking, blood trickling out of the corner's of his mouth. Once they were inside, Donovan tied Edward to the wall, then started recording. "Colonel Mustang, this should be groundbreaking news, seeing your loyal State Alchemist alive. Not in good condition, though. Fullmetal!" Colt shouted, seeing Edward's head lift weakly. "Is there anything you would like to say?" "Eastern...Don't worry...woods...house..." Edward panted, wiping the blood from his mouth. "Al...I'm so...rry." Donovan cocked an eyebrow. "Whelp, let's see...Alphonse probably remembers me. And look at poor Edward. He tried to escape. Pity. I had friends who wanted to rough him up. But no worry. We can still make him scream." •Authors note: Well now. Donovan isn't as good as he seemed! Poor Edward, though... Well! As always, next chapter, next res! Thanks & Bye! ~TheFullmetalHomunculus~•
I have fallen in love with Diana's books. There were some editing mistakes, but I felt like this is a solid story with interesting characters. I'd like a better resolution about what happened with Edward, but again, I enjoyed this book. - Dacia W.
