I teach first grade. I always begin the year by meeting with the parents before I even meet the children. During this meeting, I read this book to the parents. At the end of the book, I share with the parents how we are going to work together to be Arabella for their child. I discuss with them that when they are hesitant to get on the bus the first few weeks of school, we should be their Arabella and show them what they can do if they only try. It is a great way to start the year and help build a relationship with the parents as they prepare their child to become more independent. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
