Where she might have powered her way to making such a point on previous albums, this time around she shows restraint and lets the songs do the talking. What If We Were Real features an upbeat urban pop mix of Natasha Bedingfield, Jordin Sparks, and Leona Lewis. It's a step apart from her Idol identity, but if this is the Mandisa she truly wants listeners to know, it seems to work rather well. She may have shown her inner diva as a reality TV contestant, but this resilient vocalist has done a true makeover to become a contemporary gospel star whose time in the spotlight has only begun.

    EXTREMELY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

    If you don't have this CD yet - RUN, DON'T WALK to the nearest place you can get it!!!!

    You know how there are usually one or two songs on an album that you like "ok" but they're not your favorite? On this album, that is NOT the case. There is not a song on here that does not speak VOLUMES to something in every single one of us - whether we want to be "real" and admit it or not.

    I really can't say enough good things about this album - I could write a thousand words or a thousand pages and tell you how wonderful it is, but until you listen to it for yourself, you will not truly understand.

    WAY TO GO 'DISA!!!! YOU DID GOD PROUD ON THIS ONE :) :) :)
