Have you ever wished the characters in your favorite novels made different choices?

Should Haley spend a quiet New Year's Eve with the artistically inclined Devon, Shaun, and Irene, or hit Rich Haber's booze-soaked blowout attended by the cutie next-door, Reese Highland? How and where should she spend spring break? Would you have her stay in town for a screening of her school art project? Or should she make nice with and (possibly) change the lives of the fallen-from-grace and currently troubled Queen Bees Coco and Whitney? Maybe you'd rather she get friendly with the neo-cool regime of Sasha, John, Cecily, Drew, and Reese by jetting to Paris. Or would you fly her to Spain alongside the school's premier brainiacs, couple Annie and Dean and heartthrob exchange student Sebastian Bodega?

WHAT IF...YOU BROKE ALL THE RULES is an easy-breezy beach read that allows readers to dictate the novel's final outcome. Sure, there's not a lot of complication, or in-depth drama, but sometimes you just want to kick back, let your brain take a break, and enjoy the ride.

Plus, the additional benefit of being able to retrace your steps and choose a different path should you find yourself dissatisfied with the outcome is sure to please.

What if it didn't end this way?- AN FMA FANFIC

•Authors note: This is an alternate ending to the FMA novel 'The Abducted Alchemist'•
"Ahhh..." Edward yawned, attempting to stretch. He stopped short and sat up. He looked down at the chains wrapped around his legs and clapped his hands together. He put them on the chains, but no familiar blue alchemical glow shone. Edward was starting to get nervous, and his breathing came out in short, panicked, bursts. Edward then heard footsteps coming down a flight of stairs, something that he couldn't see due to the lack of light.
"Did you not think that I was stupid enough to believe that you aren't a State Alchemist?" Colt sneered, grabbing Edward's chin and pulling it upwards. "Idiot." Colt slapped him, and Edward's head snapped backwards.
"Why do you need me?" Colt stiffened at Edward's whispered question, stopping mid-slap.
"I've been behind the kidnappings. I made the plan. And you, the Fullmetal Alchemist, are one of the key ingredients. Who would think that, after all those bloodless kidnappings, that anyone would be bold enough to kidnap a State Alchemist?" Colt laughed. A cold, menacing laugh that chilled Edward to the very bone. He attempted to twist free of the chains, and had to stifle a cry as a sharp pain flew up his spine and into his shoulder. He gingerly touched the area that hurt the most, coming away with a bloody hand. "Wondering why it hurts? I just so happen to know a transmutation circle that stops your alchemy from being used." Colt said, walking back up the stairs.
"What are you planning?!" Edward called after Colt. The reply was the door slamming closed, leaving Edward in the dark.

•Authors note: This is my second FMA fanfic, but my third fanfiction total. Thanks for reading!

I have only read the first book and i love it so far. I still don't like the fact that is a 'chose your own destiny' book so I read it all. But it is still pretty good.

if you've been reading the what if series i think some people might agree it wasnt as great as the others. it was a bit dissapointing and a bit boring. I still have the first two books and read them over some times and i can say they are better than this one.
