Perfect book. I picked it up for a business trip to France and I used it multiple times during my stay. It was very handy every time I ordered a meal, and it kept me from making a fool of myself when I was entertaining clients. I'll keep this book handy for future trips.

For my 50th wedding anniversary my husband took me to Paris. Springtime in Paris and ooh lala but we don't speak a word of French so I loaded some books and this was the handiest one of all. Superb book with just enough information that I know what we were ordering for our meal and not so much that I spent the whole time reading. My daughter laughed but I also found this book convenient when I was cooking so I understood what was in the recipe (I do not get why they put french words in recipes even if it is a french recipe. that is so elitist). If you are interested in French food I recommend this as the must-read book to get.
