Richard L. Allington is a past president of the International Reading Association and of the National Reading Conference. He has written more than 100 published papers and reports on reading difficulties, and is the author or coauthor of What Really Matters for Struggling Readers, What Really Matters in Fluency, Classrooms That Work, and Schools That Work. Dick is a former

    Outstanding resource

    This book is so incredible! I have already used it multiple times in my work as a Title I Instructional Coordinator. It will be especially helpful for our program review this spring - it is just the informational tool we needed to help us begin to make some significant systemic changes!

    This book is an easy read and full of useful information that makes sense in today's classrooms.
