There is an easier way for a woman to get smart.
- LendMe LendMe™ Learn More
Most smart women got smart the hard way, through first hand experience. And they have the scars to prove it—painful memories of sleepless nights, tears, confusion, anger, self-doubt and anxiety. Sure they have learned about life, love, and relationships, but they paid a high price for their wisdom.
There is an easier way for a woman to get smart. How? Simply by listening to and learning from the experiences of other women. Wisdom without pain, understanding without heartache, insight without melodrama—that’s what this book is all about.
The smartest woman knows that getting smart doesn’t have to hurt!
“WHAT SMART WOMEN KNOW is great book....Every woman needs a copy to carry in her purse, keep at her bedside table or at her desk. It cuts through confusion and goes straight to the heart of our issues and denial…I recommend it highly and will be carrying a copy in my purse.”
--Melodie Beattie, author of CODEPENDENT NO MORE
“Mind-boggling…wise…really sane…It’s such a pleasure when someone captures some aspect of life in a clear and kind way, so that we can recognize ourselves, recognize our problems.”
--Anne Lamott, author of BIRD BY BIRD: Some Instructions on Writing and Life

I ordered this book from a book club, and had it for a few months when the relationship I was in fell apart, to say the least I was devasted. After a few weeks I found this books, I read it in a day. I was in the process of getting my daughter ready for college, after reading this book I decided I should go to school too. I always wanted a nursing degree, but being in that realtionship I found myself catering to others needs instead of fulfilling my own dreams. This book showed me that the time I was wasting could be put to good use on the dreams and goals that I had. I obtained my nursing degree, and learned to put my self first, so that when I entered another relationship it would be on equal terms, without compromising my goals, dreams, and selfworth. One last note, this book taught me that it is okay to be alone without being lonely, there are so many things to fill up that time.
I highly recommend this book to clients who would benefit from it because of their issues. I'm flabbergasted over the one person who here reviewed this book with one star and called it "boring." No way!
Bought this book for my daughter and she gave it to a girlfriend who loved it...and needed it...bought her another copy and she gave it to another girlfriend who loved it and needed it...Got 'smart' and bought three copies...two for my daughter and an extra for my house... Excellent for the college year relationships, those 'can't see the forest for the trees' relationships. This book helps you 'see' things that are going on, but you are too busy to see or too 'conned' to see!!!!
I purchased this book years ago and this book is an absolute must read for every woman whether in a relationship or single. The book is upfront and tells it like it is! Great reading, helpful and encouraging! Some of the quotes and stories will remind you of yourself. Funny at times!
I recommend this to all my friends. It is told with humor which helps any life situation. Amazing, when you are in a toxic relationship, how you can forget how simple it can be to look at it realistically. This book, doesn't make women feel like morons, for being stupid with men. We have the power, we just forget we do. All women, need to read this. *************
I am so thankful for this book! When you read it, you will see yourself in one of the many scenarios presented. The authors are dead-on. I have referenced this book again and again --- in fact there are post-it-notes and folded down corners throughout my copy! A must-read!!
Waste of money. So boring to read.
