My new favorite author Kelli McCracken.. What the heart wants “Breath-taking”. This book gives you hope that Soulmates do exist and you will find your heart mate unexpectedly. To find a story to capture your heart instantly is rare to find and this exactly what Kelli does writing this phenomenal series. I love the idea of having a secret society for only the Keepers and Seekers, abiding by their own rules. The love between the main characters is so powerful and endearing because of their connection. They have a lot of obstacles but it just makes their relationship grow stronger and sweeter because of it. This is a great series a book full of emotions, psychic abilities, passion and angst that will keep you wanting more. Kelli McCracken has an imagination unsurpassed by no other. Five stars guaranteed, don’t hesitate just one click you will not be disappointed. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. I came across a preview of What the Heart Wants a few months ago. From the very first line the story got my attention. I couldn't wait for the story to come out. I was not disappointed by the story. I got the story from Kelli McCraken for free for an honest review. I loved What The Heart Wants and can't wait for the second book. I couldn't put this book down, it was like watching a movie that you get sucked into and don't want it to end.
I love the concept of soulmates and how Kelli McCraken developed the story. Heaven & Dylan are soulmates, they have dreamed about each other since they were children without having ever met. They're connection goes back to their birth. There's a magnetic pull between Dylan & Heaven once they meet that is so unique. There's a unique story behind Heaven and her sisters birth. It's also the how Heaven was given her name. Her sisters names are Faith and Hope, they're triplets. I liked the names of the girls especially Heaven's which is very unique.
There are some questions that are left unanswered but will probably be dealt with in the second book. I hope to read more about Faith, she has a strong personality and she's probably the type of character most love to hate because she's so out spoken and such a pain. Unlike her sisters who are swee. Faith doesn't play around, she immediately hooks up with Dylan's best friend Layne who seems to have eyes for Heaven. Heaven seems to attract psychos. She has an ex who is talked about being a psycho but not much is clear about what happened there. Dylan seems to be the only guy that is normal that is attracted to Heaven. Can't wait to find out if Layne will make a move on Heaven or if Faith might have a surprise for him. This is sweet, funny, romantic story and I highly recommend it. I can't wait to read it again.

I received this book as a R2R from the LOP goodreads bookclub. I enjoyed the book but I would not list it as paranormal. I do want to read the next one because I really wanted to gain a better connection with Dylan and Heaven. The author does keep you wanting to find out what will happen. I finished this in a day which is good because I am ADD when it come to books. I have to been grabbed rather quickly and it did. Nothing to erotic going just a sweet story especially when you got to the reason they are connected. Good cute story. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. 3.5 stars! I enjoyed this. I had the opportunity of receiving this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. I have never read a book involving people that have psychic abilities. However I have read books involving fate stepping in a bringing two people together because they are soulmates. I liked the concept the author was writing about. The reason I only gave it 3.5 rather then 4 stars is because I felt the situation involving Zeke was random. I think that the story about Dylan dad and the reporters would have been fine but I felt the whole thing with Zeke was out there and just made me say What the hell?. But anyway, I liked this book and loved Dylan! I will def read the second book because I want to know what Layne is hiding! And what is going to happen with the dad, reporter and Zeke. I hope Heaven tells Dylan about Mick! Loved it!Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

Let me start with what lured me into to reading What the Heart Wants - the cover. I was immediately captured and swept away by how sweet yet seductive the cover is. I found it to be a perfect representation of the two main characters, Dylan and Heaven. Both are strong and well written. I found the struggles they had to endure a perfect balance of anguish and sweetness – just enough of both to keep it from being too saccharin sappy or wailing ugly cry story.
What the Heart Wants was touted to be a paranormal story. The paranormal aspect of this book is the psychic connection between Dylan and Heaven. I do not necessarily consider that a paranormal commodity but that is this reader’s personal opinion.
The one thing I truly have to give author Kelli McCracken props to is the excellent cast of supporting characters. Like a house of cards each one of them was an added element that, if went missing, the story would have collapsed. I do wish the next book were about one of them. And speaking of the next book…
Of course, this is a series and with all series, there is quite a cliffhanger. You will have to read the book if you want to know what it is. I certainly cannot wait to find out what happens next. Over-all What the Heart Wants is delightful afternoon read for anyone wanting a romantic escape from reality.
I received this book from JeepDiva in exchange for my honest review. The opinions and rating of this review are solely mine and in no way was I compensated.

Do you believe in soulmates, people who possess the other part of your soul and without them you will never be complete? Finding your soulmate is the premise behind What the Heart Wants the first in the Soulmate series.
Heaven is one of a set of triplets, she received her unusual name because of circumstances surrounding her birth. Heaven is finally getting to the point she feels safe around men again after an ex boyfriend nearly killed her, in that attempt she lost parts of her memory. One thing she has now however is dreams of a sexy brown eyed man.
Dylan has an alright life he is part of a rock band that is doing well, has a mom he loves and he works with his dad that he tolerates. He ready to settle down if only he could find the woman who haunts his dreams, is she real? His dream woman is the woman all others are judged by and found lacking, what is he going to do if he never finds her.
What the Heart Wants is both the first book as well as the beginning of the story, for the most part it tells the story of Dylan and Heaven we are however left with several cliff hangers for the next book to answer. While it can be at times a little confusing overall it is a good story with likable characters and an intriguing premise to how these two are connected not just now but forever.
There is sex in the book but it is not graphic, so moderately steamy :O)

I enjoyed this book so much, that I find it hard to critique. So, instead, I’m just going to make a list of everything I loved about it.
Okay, here it goes…
1. Emotional from the very beginning
2. VERY well written
3. Each page left me feeling more connected to the characters and their journeys
4. Two hearts calling out to each other
5. Different POVs, other than the main characters- With the main character being a part of a triplet pack, I enjoyed seeing their different personalities and thoughts on a situation.
6. Couldn’t put it down
7. Heart wrenching (in a good way)
9. Loveable characters
10. Freakin’ fantastic!
That is all.
No, wait, excuse me that is not all.
GO BUY THIS BOOK!!!
That is all.

For those who have seen my reviews in the past, you all know I love novels full of suspense and action along with a lot of steaminess, lol. That being said, here is my take on What the Heart Wants. I liked it; it was a really sweet story. The plot was really interesting, two people who dream of each and who are destined to be together, very sweet and romantic. And I also enjoyed the whole Rock ‘N’ Roll with paranormal influence, even though it was a serene setting. The next book in the series seems to have maybe a little more “drama” in it, the cliffhanger that I was left with leaves me wondering what’s in store for the new couple. Lol
So, if you like sweet romances, this is the series for you.

‘True warm and fuzzy, sigh worthy romance,’ the kind you won’t admit you’ve dreamed of, pretty much describes What the Heart Wants by Kelli McCracken. I mean, seriously, even the author’s name sounds all soft and romantic heroine-like! Imagine two people, who have never met, both wanting that special love that happens only once. Now, imagine them each dreaming of the other for years, yes, years and then one day, fate brings them together, face to face and only one of them KNOWS without a doubt that the other is their heart’s destiny. Heaven, Hope and Faith are triplets, different as night and day, each are totally loveable, but this is Heaven’s story. Dylan is a rock star, with the heart of a poet, who has dreamed of his perfect lover all of his life and the dreams are getting more frequent and more intense. At a fellow band member’s wedding, he is the reluctant “date” for the bride’s best friend who is an unknown entity to him. And. Then. He. Sees. Her. Heaven is the woman in his dreams, his soulmate, his heart’s desire. Heaven has been having romantic dreams, too, but all she sees is a vague dreamlike vision of a man with deep expresso eyes, and then she meets Dylan, deciding, in spite of some special connection to him, to avoid the rock star with the ‘bad boy’ label. But can she? What is it about him that makes her heart overrule her head? Can Dylan reign in his heart and take it slow when all he wants is to hold her close?
The pace of this book matched perfectly with the love, it was gentle and flowing. Both Dylan and Heaven had me in their corner from the start. When the reason for their connection is revealed, I swear I got all teary-eyed, it pulled at my heart of hearts that much.
Kelli McCracken has written one of the most captivating romances I have ever read. The touch of the paranormal, the prophetic dreams, the beautiful way with words that Kelli McCracken has all come together in a truly special and memorable tale that will leave you all warm and happy inside. I could not put this down, I was so wrapped up in the cocoon of this book. Was there a downside to this book? Yep, it ended, leaving both me and my Kindle semi-melted into a puddle of goo!

Wow! This book was perfectly written! It hooks you in from the beginning because you want to know what connection they have and why they have this connection. You start to feel jealous of the connection that they have and start wondering how you can have a connection with someone aswell.
It was a refreshing change to have a rock star story where the rock star wasn't an obnoxious drunken sex addict! Dylan doesn’t come across as a rock star he seems like a very humble man who hasn’t let fame go to his head.
This book is part of a series and there are a few loose ends left over and I feel that I need to find out what happens to them. I am interested in Dylan and Heavens life and how things progress with them. I like the sound of Dylan’s mum and would be happy to see more of her in the next books.
I would love it if the other sisters have stories of their own to tell because I'd say they would be interesting. Especially Faith's story, explaining why she feels the way she does about her sisters!
This is the first book I have read which has been written by Kelli McCracken and I will definitely be reading other books in this series and also other books she has written.

This is an enteraining story with a unique twist to the story line. I enjoyed all the characters and their interaction with each other. It's well written and flows well, I am glad book two is already out and can't wait to continue the story of these wonderful characters. Even though their is adult language and love scenes, nothing is overly descriptive. Give this a read, I really don't think you'll be disappointed. Was this review helpful? The book starts off kind of slow but I don't know if it was because I was so anxious for Heaven and Dylan to meet. I found myself speed reading certain areas just to get to the next part.
There was some confusing moments in there for me where it seemed like a significant amount of time lapsed or I missed something that I found myself turning back to make sure I didn't miss a page. That is the reason I took 1 star off. Overall, once I got into the book I couldn't put it down. Yes, it was sort of "instalove" between Dylan and Heaven but I can forgive that because of the circumstances. I really don't get the sister's relationship, I felt like it could have been explained a little better why there was such a riff between Heaven, Hope and Faith. I also would have liked to know more about the situation with Mick because she kept referring to it but never elaborated other than a few small details. Maybe that is in the next book . Which brings to my biggest complaint WHERE IS BOOK 2????
I do recommend this book, it is a very sweet read that I found to pull me in emotionally. The author did a great job describing the intense connections between the two. There was also a good story there as well although a bit unresolved, hence the second book :)
