NUMBER OF HEARTS: 4 1/2 REVIEW:  Mike McCauley has been mourning the loss of the love of his life for last six years. The only thing that has kept him going is his son and his family. Mike has been so lost in his pain that something as simple as finding love again was never going to happen. But he can’t stop the pull that he has to one tough, sassy, tattooed, mechanic.  Delilah Webster might be this super tough chick but really she is a softy and wants what everyone else wants that one true love. But that is not in the cards for Del. But she can’t resist Mike and his sweet little boy. Okay, I had thought that Cam’s book was my favorite. But nope. Mike is my new favorite McCauley brother. Thank goodness Abby got that flat tire.  What to do with a Bad Boy took me on a lot of highs and lows. I loved Mike & Del’s story. Just loved it. I will say that I did shed a few (or a lot) of tears in this book. If you have not read this series yet you need to and you need to start with book one! Yes you could read each as a stand alone, BUT I think it is important to read from the beginning.  I can’t wait to see what Maire has in store for us next.  Disclaimer:  I received a complimentary copy of the book from NetGalley & SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca in exchange for an honest review. This review is my own opinion and not a paid review.

Eight bucks was too much for this book. I don't like books with dead wives. It completely ruins the romance. No thanks.

After being introduced to Mike McCauley in the first book of the series I instantly knew he was going to be my favorite McCauley. His personality resonated with me early on, and had me wanting to know more about him. I can honestly say Marie saved the best brother for last!! His story was my favorite of the four brothers! I had high expectations for his story and she exceeded all of them and then some! The chemistry between Del and Mike was explosive, full of lust, passion and desire! Their story definitely left me left me breathless and blushing a few times! I highly recommend you meet the McCauley brothers, they are AMAZING!

Reviewed by Annie and posted at Under The Covers Book Blog Mike McCauley has been features in all the book as the lonely widower with the amazing son. WHAT TO DO WITH A BAD BOY has to be my most anticipated book in the series, especially with the lead up that occurred with Del in the last book. Mike turned out to be different than I expected. Better. Hotter. Bigger. He’s the fun and charming father that loves spending time with his family, but he’s also the guy who loves filthy sex as well. And rightly so because he’s a demon in the sack! Harte covers all the bases and this book right out of the park. Touching an delicate matters on life, death and grief, I find that Harte handles each with such care and attention to detail. Every moment Mike remembers Lea is believable and yet the moments with Del are organic as well. Harte doesn’t bring Del in to replace or overshadow Lea. They fall in love but process just takes a little while for each to admit it. Del’s character fascinated me. Known as the badass mechanic, Delilah Webster has her claws, but in this book, we also see a vulnerable side to her. She blushes. She has her own doubts and insecurities. All this just makes her more appealing in my eyes. Also, her dynamic with Colin, Mike’s son is wonderful. It never feels forced. Harte really managed to find a good middle down there. With this being the last book in the series, I am left feeling devastated. I need more, Harte! You hear me? I’ll beg if I have to! Smart, sexy and funny – I’d marry this series if I could. *ARC provided by publisher

Mike is a single dad trying to do what is best for his son after his childs mother dies giving birth. Unfortuanetly for him everyone including his mother keeps trying to set him up with every single lady in his town! So what does he do.. he begs the last women he should ever be around to save him from the members of his family that insist on playing cupid. Delilah Webster is a hardworking mechanic that is not afraid to get her hands a little dirty. She likes Mike and loves his son even more. So when Mike asks her for help she figure's why not, what can it hurt. Mike and Delilah are very cute together. Delilah definitely brings out the bad boy that Mike has hidden. The big question is can Delilah help Mike get over the biggest hurdle ever? Can she help him let go of the past so he can see the future? Read and find out people! This is a good read. I loved the chemistry between the couple and love the heat they bring to the bedroom. I don't want to spoil the book for anyone but it definitely checks off everything you would want to find in a romance novel. I read the book in one day and immediately went looking for the rest of the series. Its definitely worth your money and time.

Reviewed by Aubrey Book provided by NetGalley for review Review originally posted at Romancing the Book I was a bit sad reading this book because I knew it was the last one in the series. It was really cool to see how each brother ended up with different women and women that were not what others expected. Del is definitely a woman that not a single person except maybe Mike’s son thought Mike would end up with. Del covered in tattoos with piercings is far cry from his deceased wife. Del is loud, outspoken and not afraid to go after she wants. Mike is quite scared of Del and has avoiding her since the first day they met. Mike and Del as a couple were super hot. I loved how Harte has her characters push the limits and boundaries of sex. Her sex scenes are extremely hot and I think the ones in this book were my favorite ones yet. Mike and Del just had a chemistry that a lot of couples don’t have. I think the love hate part of their relationship lent a more powerful and explosiveness aspect to their love making. I would love to have a book about Rena, Del’s cousin. I wonder if it will be a spin-off series. This series totally ended the way I like series to end. Every brother ended up with a girl to love and they are all super happy. I would totally recommend this book to anyone that loves books about super alpha-males and super hot sex scenes with light bondage.

My first introduction to the McCauley brothers, I didn’t find a great deal of missing information that was integral to this story’s enjoyment, but I can say that you will want to read the first three books in the series: the fun in this series and the heart in this story are not to be missed.  Mike McCauley is a solidly alpha male with a young son: his family has been plotting and scheming for ages to get him involved with another woman since the death of his wife during Colin’s birth. In this installment, everyone is in on the plan, including Colin.   Laughter is a highlight in this story: the characters obviously enjoy and appreciate one another, and even their pranks are amusing. Poor Mike didn’t stand a chance with everyone plotting and planning, even down to Colin with his own idea of ‘the perfect woman’.  Delilah is the woman who is in everyone’s sights for Mike now.  A tattooed mechanic with a hard outer shell, Del is genuine, honest and above all, kind. She and Mike have an attraction, but she is wary: different from the other women he has dated, she’s the breath of fresh air that he so desperately needs, and he is the one to make her happy.  Slowly developing the romance, Marie Harte uncovers and reveals the characters with care and depth, giving us backstory and showing the gradual development of friendships and love that are occurring.  Plenty of banter and interactions between all characters that feels real and honest, with characters that you want to have as friends and neighbors.   I received an eArc copy of the title from the publisher via NetGalley for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

WHAT IS WITH MIKE McCAULEY? Every time Delilah Webster runs into Mike McCauley, he practically bites her head off. The rough-and-tumble contractor clearly has baggage. Del has her own emotional scars and knows she's better off keeping her distance, but Mike's temptation in jeans and a T-shirt and she's always been good with her hands... There's something about the strong-willed mechanic that sets Mike's motor running-and scares the hell out of him. Mike has loved and lost and will never hurt like that again, even if that means walking away from a woman who makes him feel alive for the first time in years. When a simple kiss turns hot and heavy, Mike discovers he can't stay away, no matter how certain he is they're destined to crash and burn... This series has been really good and I’ve enjoyed all 3 books so far, however, I must admit I have been awaiting this one as the glimpses we have had of Mike and Del together intrigued me. I was not disappointed, this is my favourite of the 4 book series, in my opinion the best was definitely saved for last. Mike and Del’s story is by far the hottest of the 4 books and oh so good, who knew Mr Single & Responsible had such urges?!?! The chemistry between these two when it does explode is so well done that it’s seamless, the physical and emotional so well intertwined with Marie Harte trademark humour and banter that you almost miss, through the sheer panty melting hot scenes (with a touch of kink!), the friendship and emotional attachment that is developing between them. Mike and Del both have baggage that means neither is really looking for a relationship, one believes having had his ‘one’ there cannot be another and the other believes herself unworthy but when Colin decides to enrol the help of the family to get himself a new Mom and a new puppy you just know fun and games are going to follow! The McCauley charm honed by Ubie is irresistible and Colin is just adorable. The whole family show up as usual throughout the book and it’s like curling up with your favourite hot drink and some rich dark chocolate - decadent with a touch of naughty, totally irresistible and very satisfying!  The overwhelming factor for me that makes these such an enjoyable read is the amazing banter between all the characters, primary and secondary. The affection, humour and love shines through, the teasing, flirting, arguing, dirty sexy talk and insults flung around through these books make them a pleasure to experience. Like every family they will frustrate and exasperate you – you will be rooting for them while screaming at them!  In a world full of angsty contemporary romance where you sometimes want a palate cleanse these are a joy, they remind me of the reasons I love Jennifer Crusie, Rachel Gibson, Susan Anderson just to name a few. Authors I read in paperback but with the advance of the eReader, and therefore the popularity of indie writers, have not touched in a while. Marie Harte writes a steamy, sexy, damn fine romance but throw in her gift for the humour and banter and they are a winner for an easy read that will leave you with a smile, a warm heart and tingles in places! I commented previously that another factor was they are “real” - no billionaires, no rock gods, no MC bikers - just normal, real men with strong family values who want a good woman and a good life. Simple things that in reality we all want and, while I read contemporary romantic fiction and don’t mind the plausibility being stretched a tad, it’s a pleasant change of pace to read ‘real’ that could be any family, anywhere with its ups & downs, tragedies and celebrations. Just trying to get by day to day, working hard and playing hard. It’s an engaging series, well written with a fabulous quota of panty melting scenes all wrapped up in humour. My personal favourite is this one, Mike is just big, rugged, and a total panty dropper package, Del is a mix of sass and sarcasm, vulnerability and a huge heart, a perfect foil for Mike. Marie Harte has excelled herself with this series, her best contemporary romances to date by far….

The story I was waiting for! Saving the best for last. It's not a concept I particularly subscribe to. I'm an impatient reader and want instant gratification...most times. In the case of What To Do with a Bad Boy I was pleased that Harte saved her best for last. From the beginning of this adorable, sexy and funny series I have been craving Mike McCauley's story. A widowed single father locked in his own grief that we have slowly watched unravel through each book. The main theme of the story is ... Can Mike McCauley fall in love again and learn to let his grief go? Answer... Del Webster. Mike and Del have been circling the wagons for the last couple of books so when they finally give into their attraction it's HOT. Thankfully it didn't take long for it to happen because I have been dying for that moment. A no strings attached fling where both parties agree to keep it simple soon snowballs into a much deeper connection between the couple. Mike has been grieving for the past six years after his wife died giving birth to their son Colin. Having buried his feelings so deep inside and only engaging in physical activities he ensures that he will never have to lose someone he loves again. You wouldn't know he suffers at the hands of his grief just by looking at him because Mike is a rock. He has to be in order to raise his kid. He's a strong guy with a great job, good head on his shoulders and an even bigger heart. When Del came into the picture a few books ago with her arms full of tattoos, steel toed boots and an attitude to rival Joan Rivers, I knew we'd be in for a great story. A lot like Mike, Del has an outer shell that you wouldn't think anything could get through but Del turned out to be incredibly vulnerable despite first impressions. I knew I would love her but getting the details behind why she is the way she is surprised me. Mother issues and immense feelings of abandonment in regards to her mother are at the heart of not only her attitude in life but love as well. Del is the kind of woman who uses sarcasm and jokes to mask her true feelings. Kind of reminds me of someone *points at self*. All she wants is for just ONE person to return the love she has tried to freely give away but always comes back "Return To Sender" leaving her heartbroken. I've never wanted to hold a character more than Del Webster. I'm not sure if it was just me or not but Mike and Del's relationship was pretty drama free for the most part. Whether they were laughing during sex, arguing over silly things that ended up being a non issue or making fun of each other their courtship seemed to be founded on one key principle...Friendship. Regardless of their supposed hatred for each other these two clicked together so well it was flawless. Del's sarcastic attitude kept Mike on his toes and Mike's ability to draw out the sweeter side of Del made for some entertaining reading material. Plus the best part of the book was getting a POV from Mike's son Colin. I was totally caught off guard by his addition to the story and seeing him work his Ubie influenced charm and devious skills in involving almost the entire family to get these two together was a genius move on Harte's part. I loved the way Harte captured the youthful innocence of a six year old and showed how intelligent he was at the same time without feeling contrite. Colin's part in the story was charming, sweet and funny...as always. Because he pulled in so many secondary characters in his scheme I became acquainted with a very intriguing beefcake brother, JT and my hope now is for a spin off of this series featuring the new players. Not only was Del's brother a sexy and fun addition but her cousin Rena caught my attention as well. There were so many things to love about this book but for me the main thing was how Harte didn't handle us (the reader) throughout this story. She didn't just wave her magic wand and *poof* the couple madly fell in love and all was right with the world. She actually fleshed these two people out and gave them depth which was needed with a story like this, Not only did we fall in love with Mike and Del but with Lea, Mike's deceased wife through a series of gut wrenching emotional memories each family member shared. It wasn't just about finding someone for Mike, it became this healing journey to love again and be loved again. I knew it would be emotional but I didn't expect to cry but to my surprise there were several moments where the dam broke for me. I love when things work out for two unlikely people and What To Do With A Bad Boy brought so much sexy, flirty, romantic fun to the table it was hard to walk away without going back for seconds.

:  4.25 stars-WHAT TO DO WITH A BAD BOY is the fourth installment in Marie Harte’s adult, contemporary McCauley Brothers erotic romance series focusing on the McCauley family. This is eldest brother and widower Mike McCauley, and tattooed and pierced mechanic Delilah (Del) Webster’s storyline, one that has been building for a couple of books. Told from two distinct close third person points of view including Mike’s son Colin, the storyline picks up immediately following the events of books three. WHAT TO DO WITH A BAD BOY can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading in order for your enjoyment. The premise follows the building relationship between Del and Mike. Del first appeared on the scene (in a previous book) when she fixed a flat tire for Mike’s future sister in law.  Mike’s six year old son Colin fell instantly in love with the less than feminine female mechanic and sets a path into motion hoping his father will fall in love and give him a new mom. The relationship between Mike and Del is fraught with reluctance, aggression and animal attraction. Mike is a man who likes things a little rough with sex and Del is the woman who is willing to give him everything he wants. Since the death of his first wife Lea, giving birth to their son, Mike swears he will never remarry but friends with benefits is a definitely on the agenda. Lea was his soul mate and there is only ONE soul mate for every man. Del’s unhappy childhood has hardened her heart-believing love is impossible-and Mike is a man who could easily destroy her heart. With that in mind, Del and Mike agree to keep things simple but the heart will begin to fall before the mind has had a chance to catch up. There are moments of heartbreak and sorrow as well as humor and fun.  The sex scenes are energetic, erotic and intense. The world building continues to focus on the McCauley family and friends, the family owned business and Abby’s romance novel publications.  The secondary characters include all of the previous storyline couples including Mike’s parents and Del’s father and brother who give the storyline and series cohesion and a familiarity. Mike’s mother Beth is less than welcoming of Mike’s friendship with Del and in this there are some tense and interesting moments as Beth continues to set up her son with available single women knowing that Mike has eyes for someone else. Six years grieving the only woman he believes he will ever love finds Mike an unwilling victim of his family’s attempts at matchmaking. But everyone sees that Mike and Del are perfect for one another, if only the couple in question could see the same thing. Marie Harte pulls the reader into a story of love and loss, moving forward and letting go, family and friends. The McCauley Boys series focuses on four brothers, bonded by love and blood, who find love with the one person who understands that extended family is part of the deal. The stories are intimate, intense, addicting and provocative. Marie Harte takes aim at your heart and hits a bulls-eye every time.
