    Very useful information!

I am delighted to get this book. It was recommended by a friend who has Crohn's Disease and I found it most useful. The author has Crohn's herself and is a dietitian. She explains what you can eat and why. It has opened up lots of new possibilities for me! The recipes in the back are easy to follow, delicious and nutritious.

ok if you like to cook

Maybe I didn't pay enough attention to the description, but this book wasn't what I expected. I was hoping for an explanation of what foods cause what reaction in the gut and why, but what I got was a health nut's compilation of recipes.

EXCELLENT guidance for those coping with and recovering from ulcerative colitis attacks

Tracie Dalessandro's book is excellent, not only as a source of good recipes for those of us battling IBD, but also as a source of excellent, clear and accurate guidance on nutrition more broadly for IBD patients. She is not only a patient but a trained dietitian, so I guess that is why this book is so well researched and helpful. Thank you Tracie!

(Anyone considering buying the Brenda Roscher book on cooking for IBD should think again and buy this instead - it is far superior.)
