It's hard to believe, but your child's starting preschool. Even if it's just for a couple of hours two or three days a week, it seems such a big step for someone in such little sneakers. Not to worry -- we're here to help prepare both of you for that step. We'll answer your child's questions about what preschool is like, what preschoolers do, who teachers are, and how they help to make preschool such a fun and special place -- so that the first day of preschool will be a day you'll both look forward to.

Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
Angus the Answer Dog is here to respond to children's questions about preschool. A great choice for a parent read-aloud to youngsters, this book touches on many of the questions preschool-bound kids may have. Read about what a classroom looks like, what a teacher does, what activities preschool kids participate in, preschool rules, and making friends. With cheerful illustrations and in-depth (but not over-their-heads) coverage of the ins-and-outs of preschool, this book is a great pick to soothe your young child's qualms about heading to school for the first time. 2003, HarperCollins,

    Ok for an older child

I bought this for my 2.5 year old that was starting Preschool. It is way to wordy and lost his attention very quickly.

A must-read for kids entering preschool

This book gives so much information in a fun way; my daughter loved me to read it to her, over and over, and as a result she was well-equipped to head out on the first day of preschool. Definitely would recommend it for any child who is starting preschool. It's great!

What to Expect at Preschool - Great for parent with young children getting ready to go to preschool.

This book provides accurate and age-appropriate information for the parents of young children and an enjoyable story to read. It is helpful in showing pictures of the young child's school day and describing the activities during the child's day at school.
