Meet the Author

Heidi Murkoff is the author of the What to Expect® series and author of Eating Well When You're Expecting, The What to Expect Pregnancy Journal & Organizer, What to Expect the First Year, The What to Expect Baby-Sitter's Handbook, and the What to Expect Kids series from HarperCollins. Her interactive website is www.whattoexpect.com, and she lives with her family in Los Angeles, California.

Arlene Eisenberg worked on all three editions of What to Expect When You're Expecting and remained active in the What To Expect Foundation until her death in February 2001. She was also co-author, with Heidi Murkoff, of the "What to Expect" magazine columns.

Sandee Hathaway holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Boston University. An experienced RN with a specialty in obstetrics and neonatal care, Sandee lives in Waban, Massachussets, with her husband and three children.

    Very useful planner to manage your pregnancy dates and keep events organized

    I am very glad I purchased this pregnancy planner. It helps me remember when important events happened during my pregnancy. I've been writing my pregnancy progression on little sticky notes and that can get very unorganized very quickly. I thought I would always remember what week I first felt the baby kick, or when I had my first prenatal appt, etc., but you forget that kind of information even after two or three months have gone by. With this pregnancy planner I am able to quickly find all of the information and special events that happened throughout my pregnancy. You get to fill-in all of the dates and days of the week and then write down your comments. It even has suggestions on what kind of smoothies to make to receive the proper nutrients, and also has some space where you can attach a picture of yourself pregnant. The only negative aspect of the planner that I would like to see changed (and this is why I gave it four stars) is the amount of space provided for each day to write down the comments. You can't get too descriptive with your comments, otherwise you run out of space. But overall, it's very convenient to keep all of the pregnancy events organized and is very useful. It will also be interesting to get the same planner for the next pregnancy and then compare the events.
