More About This Book

Overview

What You Don't Know about Yourself Will Hinder You.
What You Don't Know about Men Will Hurt You.
What You Don't Know about Relationships Will Cost You.

Why does the modern-day search for romance so often end in disappointment, especially for women? Is it something we do? Something we don't do? Are we missing important information about the opposite sex—or about ourselves? Is there something wrong with us that we long so desperately for "til death do us part"?

Sadly, many women today see their ongoing singleness as a weakness or lack of worth. In truth, our dreams go unfulfilled not because we do not deserve for them to come true, but often because of wrong assumptions—assumptions that can easily be corrected.

Drawing on both male and female perspectives, this book deals with the hard issues and questions you and other women ponder as you consider how to obtain lasting love. What Women Don't Know (and Men Don't Tell You) will help you adjust your desires, redefine what you are attracted to, set your values in order, and determine your goals—freeing you at last to pursue the loving relationship you desire.

    Sister Enlightened

This is a very inspirational book in that it reminds you who you are and who's you are in dating. Sister Michelle tells it as it should be. We as women need to not sell ourselves short in the dating world. It is very important for us to continue to be the women God has made us to be and not to compomise ourselves in love. Thank you Sister Michelle, you are a blessing to us single Christian women. Please keep writing and I will continue to inspire our sisters to read your books.

    Great Read

This book found me...we found each other and it lead me to a path of self "twenty-something" discovery. Its easy to fall into the trappings of desparation, settling, and opinions of everyone else round us. This book teaches nothing new, but as a young lady who impatiently waits on her prince (like that huh?...lol) this information is a reality check and reminded me of (1) my relationship with the Father (2) my value, (3) the importance of companionship, and (4) a good man/husband/father/leader is worth waiting for. As young women, our idle time should be spent in the presence of God developing into good stewards/women/wives/mothers...we should set standards that welcome love and respect. Ladies, stop trying to change a man to be what u want...instead pray for/with him and watch The Lord have his way...He may be doing you a favor. This is one of the best purchases I made last year, next to my mba! Thank you Michelle for always keeping it real! May God bless you all!!

I think every mom should read this if she has boys she is raising too! This book changed my life and many of my clients have ran out and bought it after I told them all i have learned. Amazing. I can't stress enough how important this book is to read. How i wished I had read it when i was young.

Single Christian women in search of Boaz, Men in search of Ruth.....

This Book is well written, Sister Mc Kinney use wit, life experiences from others & the bible to bring effective information. This book will give you insight for what any Christian women or man whould be looking for in a mate. Being universally written plays a major part in her enlightenment for todays Christian dating life style. If you are looking for candid information along with a renewed mind this book is a must have for your library . I'm actually reading it again to reflect and grasp the principals that I defiantly find are resourceful.. If you enjoyed Steve Harvey book " Act like a lady think like a man" this a great parallel for Christians... Let it renew your mind today.
