Overview

A clever collection of true stories celebrating real-life ?MacGyverisms?

For anyone who's ever wished they could channel 1980s action-adventure icon Angus MacGyver?a secret agent known for relying on his brains, scientific prowess, duct tape, and a Swiss Army knife to save the day?this unique collection commemorates the use of improvised genius in everyday life. The ?MacGyverisms? recounted range from the concrete (using Chex Mix to provide traction in an icy parking lot) to the intangible (saving a relationship with the perfect turn of phrase). Divided by theme, the book features over forty true accounts in all?some by well-known writers, including Chuck Klosterman and A. J. Jacobs, most by ordinary people.

Edgy, entertaining, and smirk-to-yourself funny, these masterfully told stories reveal that, with a little luck and a lot of ingenuity, you can ?MacGyver? yourself out of virtually any predicament.

For anyone who's ever wished they could channel the 1980s action-adventure icon comes this clever collection of 45 true stories, commemorating the use of improvised genius to solve everyday problems. Unabridged. 1 MP3 CD.

Just for the fun of it.

I picked up this book just for the fun of it. Not an intellectual read, but insightful. People cannot always buy what they need. In a time when people are in need...sometimes ingenuity and a little desperation give you inspiration. This book lets you believe that giving it your best can give you the results needed to get you out of a tight spot. With a good sense of humor, this book will make you smile and chuckle at what people do, what people are willing to do. Find the Macgyver in you, read this book.

Watch macgyver before you read the book

And maybe you wouldnt say things like "fail". Many of macgyver's improvisations were not possible, but they were based in fact. This book takes those facts and shows real life ingenuity in the vein of macgyver. Read this book!
