    My daughter learned a lot from this book

    She learned the facts. That's it. How she interprets them is up to her (and me as her parent). The comment about not talking about waiting until marriage is silly. This is not designed to be a morality book. My 9 year old daughter read the book and STILL did not make the mental/emotional leap that the man and woman did not have to be married to have a baby. She still thinks that and that is fine with me for now. Also, the comment about not discussing gays and lesbians is also silly. Reality check: Unless you live under a rock, your kids have a friend or two with two Moms or two Dads. If you want to keep your daughter from learning anything real, please do not buy this book.

    Some Information--But Not Great

    Some of the information about puberty and reproductive developments good information but I was really upset that it didn't encourage a young girl to wait until marriage! My impression is that it was a book for young girls. As a chastity speaker, I think resources like this should encourage young girls to wait until marriage and my impression is that they didn't really do that. There's OTHER resources out there--I should mention that I believe parents should be the ones to be the FIRST to talk to their kids about puberty, sexuality, sexual intercourse and all that.

    What's Happening to me for girls

    When your child starts asking questions about what is happening to her and her body and you find difficult to explain only in words, this book is the greatest friend you have. I found the material covered on it very simple to read and rich of images that help your child to visualize and understand better her body along with what happens while she grows up. I give this book 5 stars, it helps young girls to gain knowledge of their growing bodies and ensure that your child gain the correct information.

    Not for a younger girl in my oppinion

    We bought my daughter the American girl book which in my opinion is WAY better than this one. This book talked about being gay and lesbian and I think an 8 year old is too young to worry about that.
