Editorial Reviews

VOYA
The boys' version of this book is great. The authors write the book with a personal touch. They combine their experiences with the facts of life extremely well. The book seems like it was written by a teenager, not an adult. It does not read like an encyclopedia entry but rather like a comic book on life, making it much more enjoyable. Index. Illus. Great for middle-schoolers

I bought this book for my 14-year-old. He learned the 'facts of life' several years ago, but this book covers topics that he would be uncomfortable discussing with mom and dad. It provides a matter-of-fact explanation of many of the mysteries of puberty, beyond the basic description given in most health or sciences classes at this age. I liked the book because it was so direct and matter-of-fact, as well as reassuring about the wide range of 'normal', which can be so important at this age.

A Good Guide For The Growing Boy

Through my difficult preteen years I was often mocked due to my homosexuality. Without a doubt this book was the main reason that I realized that my body, and its changes, were OK, and that my homosexuality was not a sin or abnormality. In addition, this book offers needed information about sexuality and masturbation. This book is the most essential and influential guide a young man could have to growing up. Now, I am older and wiser thanks to this book, a responsible adult.

2 Signs of a boy liking you: for sporty girls told bby a sporty girl

There are many ways a boy can show that he likes you without saying it. Here are some ways of finding out.

He picks you for his spots team- he is a very sporty guy and this is his way of saying "Hey. You are athhletic. I really like that about you."

He does weird akward stuff when you are around- He is one of the popular kids and is sporty and this is his way of showing off and truing to impress you by being "funny" being funny in boy usually means bring gross in girl and some girls think it is cute

    Hope this helped

Relax. You will know a boy will like you if he tries to impress you, acts weird around you, trying to be close to you, or just keeps staring at you. If you notice any of these signs, its just best if you walk to him in private and say,"hi. I noticed you keep _____________ me. I think youre pretty cute. Want to go on a date?" Or if hes not so good-looking, just tell him to stop ________ing around or a you. His is the best advice i can givve you. Hey, I'm only 9! Just follow my advice and tell me how it works out. Put "the admirer" in the top box nd ill check as soon a possible. Oh and if he just glances at you then he isnt your best bet.~ the admirer

My Standard Gift for 13 Year Old Boys

First gave this book to my nephew when he was 13 (now 27) who kept asking me why he was not growing or when was he going to grow and other personal questions. Not sure why he was asking me since I was his Aunt, Lol. My sister said it was because I was always straight and honest with the kids. When he was 5 I gave him the book "Where Did I Come From" when he kept asking how babies were made... I did ask him why was he not asking his Parents. I gave to my sister to read first to answer follow up questions.

That said, this is a great book and covers many things that they may not feel comfortable asking their dads about and it's gives them the tools to take care of themselves properly - grooming. It also helps them have a conversation with their fathers to clarify or get their experience on topics covered.

I now give this book to all my male relatives on their 13 birthday and the girls get "Growing Up. It's a Girl Thing". Love this book since it's tells what's happening to their bodies but explain they are still children and must listen to their parents.

My niece is now 26. I recently gave this book to a friends son with parents permission (friend), and my nephew (standard gift now even though most have read their brother/cousins book already - this is their personal book).
