Overview

This isn’t what I dreamed about. Can’t my marriage be better than this? Yes! Who you become as a wife can impact the intimacy, passion, and joy in your marriage. But how do you get there? In What’s It Like to Be Married to Me?, Linda Dillow challenges you to ask yourself risky questions: What does it feel like to be my husband? What is it like to make love with me? Why do I want to stay mad at him? Extremely intimate and honest, Linda shares the best and worst things she has done in her nearly fifty years of marriage as she leads you into God’s heart for what your marriage could be. With guidance for making your own Marriage Purpose Statement, What’s It Like to Be Married to Me? is about knowing the difference between having a desire for a better marriage and setting the goal of having a better marriage—as you look in the mirror to see how you can change. In fact, this is not an audio book about marriage at all. It’s an audio about how to live out your marriage, day by day and year by year, as you become the wife you long to be and watch it impact your marriage!

Do you have the courage to look objectively at yourself and ask, "Is my husband glad that he married me?" Linda Dillow is real -- she does not preach from on high and tell us how we are wrong. She shares her failures & successes. She demonstrates how we can be toxic or uplifting. There is more peace in my house because I am using the skills Linda has taught. My husband is happier, and so are my kids!

This book is a pointed, yet humorous look at marriage, specifically at the importance of wives. Dillow's book encourages women to take a close look at themselves in order to make a positive impact on their marriage. Great book!

This book has done wonders for me as a wife and as a daughter of Christ. Author asks dangerous questions and it is up to the reader to look in the mirror with an honest answer. It exposed some stinking thinking that I know know how to change. Gave a thankful journal to a friend. Highly recommend this book. Will be reading again!

Loved this book!  Really made me think.  Helped me to take more responsibility for what I bring to the table in my marriage.  She asks great questions and really challenges you to dig deep and take a hard look at yourself.  Some of the truths revealed can be hard to swallow, but they definitely ring true!

This book really does ask tough questions about how we live out our marriage. You need to be willing and open to facing your own faults and imperfections. You might not like what you find out about yourself. I wouldnt give this book as a gift to someone because it really requires the reader to scrutinize their thoughts and actions. This is abook you need to want to read and be willing to change. I would certainly recommend it to any woman who is looking for solid teaching on what it is to be a wife. If you are looking for a manual on becoming a Godly wife, this is the book to read. Ive read it early in my marriage and have reread it several times over the years. A great book for gauging your wife temperature and making marriage a priority.

I haven't finished this book yet, occasionally getting distracted & not picking it up for awhile, but there has really been some good thought provoking comments that have made me stop & exam my self/actions.
