Both of my children have EoE and multiple food allergies. The introduction of this cookbook will ring true to anyone dealing with multiple food allergies and it will encourage you. You will see that you are not alone. "What am I supposed to cook for dinner? And how about breakfast, lunch, and dessert, for that matter?"
I have a huge collection of allergy cookbooks but this book is the one I ALWAYS come back to. When I first discovered that food allergies were a way of life I was overwhelmed. The allergy docs, GI docs, and nutritionists were no help at all. All they do is tell you what not to eat and that is no help. This books saved me and quickly became the foundation of all that I cook.
After 6+ years of use the binding has finally broke and, despite all of my efforts, pages have gone missing. I am ordering another copy today because I NEED this cookbook. It is extremely easy to use (I'm no chef!!!!) and under each recipe she gives you a little personal note that makes this cookbook 100% more useful then your typical "allergy free" cookbook. This is a realistic, simple, everyday cookbook.
From one mother to another - you can do this!!! Allergies are not the end of the world. Thank you Ms. Coss - you saved my sanity and you always have an answer to the now not so scary question of, "What's for dinner?"

This cookbook gets mixed reviews from me...yes every recipe is allergy friendly...but I have a toddler who is allegic to eggs and peanuts..while all the recipes are safe for her...they are not real kid friendly recipes...still trying to find my answer to that cookbook! Was this review helpful? Wow! An entire book full of delicious recipes -- and all of them are completely safe for my food-allergic child! Dinners, desserts, everything. Plus -- unlike with some of the other food allergy cookbooks on my shelf-- I can honestly say that so far every recipe from this book that I have tried has turned out great. As a busy single mother I also appreciate how quick and easy these dishes are to make. I highly recommend 'What's to Eat?'Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
