Overview

A beautiful bracelet, stylish new scarf, or pair of sleek sunglasses--there's always room in a girl's closet for the perfect fashion accessory. But what about spiritual accessories? In Whatsoever Things Are Lovely, humorist and Bible teacher Rhonda Rhea challenges women to pursue those with the same passion that might be inspired by a blowout sale at their favorite department store.

Pure things, holy things . . . lovely things. These are the life "accessories" that are must-haves, says Rhea. And using Philippians 4:8-9 as a springboard, she takes women on a fun adventure infused with practical spiritual truth about how focusing on those things can lead to more fruitful, more blessed, and more peace-filled lives. Includes a discussion guide, making it great for small group Bible studies.

If bling is the thing that makes you want to sing, then "Whatsoever Things are Lovely" will be your book. Rhonda Rhea explores the girl-fun of accessories, and then pumps it to whole new level: spiritual accessories. Do people comment about your sense of peace? Do they admire your joy? Does your love for others and the Lord just sparkle? If you still have some spiritual accessories to "buy," be sure to shop at the Lord's store: His Holy Word. Read a chapter of Rhonda's book, ponder, pray, and consider the questions. You will be blessed!

I absolutely love this book! I bought this because of its beautiful cover and interesting topics. I got this book home and couldn't stop reading it. Rhonda Rhea's humor and wit are fantastic! You will feel like you are talking to a sweet friend over a cup of coffee. I highly recommend it!.

Rhonda Rhea is my new favorite author. This book packs a powerful punch that you may not expect, given the fun, conversational tone. The stories she shares are laugh-out loud funny (even in the acknowledements!)but the message is still crystal clear. The accessories Rhonda exhorts her readers to wear are the spiritual qualities Paul describes in the Bible. So while the book may seem pretty light-hearted, it's very profound. Rhonda's style is so engaging, her insights so fresh and her applications so incredibly relevant for my life, I'm going to put her other books next on my reading list. I LOVE this book.
