Overview

Being a black man is never easy, and God knows this. That is why he always looked over his children with love for the obedient and punishment for the misguided. Today, we have many black men frustrated with the conditions of their people, especially the young men that continue to imbue society with their disrespect for law and criminal activity. However, despite the sad reality black people are in today, you still have ministers and leaders like Rev. Horace Sheffield of Detroit, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson Louis Farrakhan, T.D. Jakes and even Barack Obama praying for a better way. These great men understand that God sees the conditions of black America, and need more communities and families to understand that God’s power is relevant when collectively we pray for change. Although black churches today are doing their part, this book elucidate that all black men need to see God’s love and pray before they let frustration and anger guide their paths. Black men must understand that God cares, and have solutions for their problems, only if they vigorously accept responsibility and atone for their wrongs in prayer.

    A Real Gem

Just got the book, and before I could finish the first two chapters the impact of the book hit me. This book brought me to tears, by the way it empowers and restore hope in a man's life. This book is one for the times. lovingly written.

    OH! How Wonderful!

I got this book for my husband, and hell I couldn't stop reading it. The book brings a person closer to the relevancy of prayer and God's loving grace. Every word touch my heart, and now I have to buy another for my husband, because my son needs to have one for himself.

    One the Year's Best Books

I take great pleasure in writing this review, because I am a witness that God and prayer works. This book is relevant, positive, and spiritually inspiring for ANY man. I wish he could have written his other book--WHEN A BLACK WOMAN PRAYS--with the same passion. A very beautiful and heartwarming book.
