London gossips are asking: What use has society of an exclusive gentleman's club if no gentlemen are ever seen to pass through its door?
After years as an agent of the secret Falcon Club, Lord Leam Blackwood knows it's time to return home to Scotland. One temptation threatens his plans—Kitty Savege, who warms his blood like a dram of fine whiskey. But a dangerous enemy stands in the way of desire, and to beat this foe Leam needs Kitty's help . . .
Kitty never wanted to spend her holidays in a wretched country village! With snow up to the windows, escape is nowhere in sight. A roguish Scottish lord, however, is. His rough brogue sends heat from Kitty's frigid toes to her chilled nose, but she's confident she can withstand that. What she cannot control is the reaction of her guarded heart when she discovers this beast is no beast at all . . .

Great start to a new series. The first few chapters were a bit slow then it picked up. The ending was a bit rushed for my tastes. The main characters were both warm and mysterious! The plot had me on the edge of my seat!! Cant wait to read about Jian in the next book, well done Mrs. Ashe :)

AWESOME - AWESOME - AWESOME Loved this book! My heart ache for Leam and Kitty, all the ups and downs in their relationship. Just when you thought things would work out for them, (near the end of the book), a huge twist was thrown in by this author. Highly recommend this book - loved not only the main character's but just loved the secondary ones too. On the Falcon Club 2!!!

It is the first in “A Falcon Club” series. This is the story of Falcon club agent,Lord Leam Blackwood,a Scottish lord, who has returned to England from his Scotland estate. And Kitty Sevage,a spinster who not only warms his blood but who he causes her heart to beat fast. But will secrets, and deception keep them apart. When an enemy threatens to destroy their lives, both most come face to face with an enemy who would kill them both. A fast paced, action packed, adventure filled story of love, passion, desire, betrayal, the Crown’s work, and a powerful story of love, forgiveness, and romance. A must read! This story will appeal to anyone who enjoys historical romance, adventure,a bit of mystery, suspense,Regency England and a spy or two. The Falcon Club members are an intriguing group who are named for Birds of Prey: Eagle,Sea Hawk,Raven, and Sparrow and who are not spies or so they say. I can hardly wait for the next installment in this intriguing series. Received for an honest review from the publisher. This is a book I will absolutely read again...and again. Slow for the first couple of chapters but the steamy love scenes and intrigue made up for that. I love it when I think I know what is going to happen, but then the totally unexpected happens! If you enjoy a GREAT page-turner, do not waste time contemplating getting this one. Just buy it now, grab snacks and a drink and settle down for a wonderful ride! THANK YOU, Mrs. Ashe. I cant wait for more from you.

Liked the tension created by being trapped at the Inn. Even with the tight setting for most of the book, Ashe kept the action going!

Some of the dialouge was confusing, but overall a good story and great characters.

I loved the characters, the situation, the humor, and the (sigh) romance. In fact, I enjoyed it so much, I went and bought and read the second in this series and am waiting for the third. I also recommended the author to my mother.

The book is pretty good, but reading some of Leam's dialogue was really difficult, I had to read it out loud so I could understand what he was saying.

This will not be a spoiler--the book was so good that I don't want to
spoil it for anyone. It is the first in a "Falcon Club"
series and I can hardly wait for the next book to be released. This did
start a little slow and I got a little tired of the heroine's heart
beating very fast and her "can't say it here" area of her body
being affected EVERY time she sees him however the book swept me along
with the story and I really cared about the characters. Kitty (Lady
Katherine) is smart and my kind of character and she's been hurt badly
by a very bad villain before this book begins but it all circles around
and all tie together. I too thought the ending was a bit fast but hope
Ms.Ashe learns to pace the books more evenly as she goes. This book is
very worth the time it takes to read it since you won't want to put it
down. I would recommend it to anyone who loves romance, this period of
time (1813).One note for my own opinion--I don't enjoy books where they
need to print a vocabulary of another language so you understand what
the hero is saying! But from reading so much--most of the words I
already understood.

It was very rough reading the first two chapters. There were a few other rough spots in the writing. But the the rest of the story was good if you can understand the scotish barogue.
