Just about everything you need to know

I purchased this book as a person who rarely finds anything of use in the typical survival manual most books tend to copy the old military survival manuals. That being said, I looked through this book and, because it seemed to have more than your 'run of the mill' information, I decided to buy it. What a wise choice. Mr. Lundin's philosophy of survival is different than most and I feel he does a great job of presenting information in an easy-to-read manner. Instead of just presenting basic information, the author delves into the reasons behind what one needs to do to stay alive. I especially appreciated his focus on sanitation in survival situations, as this issue oftentimes seems neglected in the current survival literature. I found his information not only useful in true 'survival' situations but also practical advice for those seeking to prepare emergency clothing, food, shelter, and clean water for a few days or a few weeks. Packed with practical information and told with a very entertaining style, this book is one of the better books out there. I definitely would recommend this book for everyone from the day hiker to the ardent 'survivalist'

    Lundin writes with authority!

This is not a book about how to handle TEOTWAWKI!, so what is it?
It's a common sense look at how to handle the messes we humans get into when Ms. Nature or Mr. Manmade Disaster whacks us with (and they do happen regularly in the US.)
Cody explains how to deal with keeping you and yours alive after a disaster strikes and how to deal with the inevitable delay in getting any kind of assistance to the disaster area. He writes in a clear, easy to understand style with a healthy dose of humor. His tips and strategies are logical and useful. I like the emphasis on preparation, both mentally and physically.
If a book is useful, I mark them up. If it is really useful, I mark and tab the sections. I did both with this book and am reading it again.

    Kyle says.......

Cody's book contains great information that I think we all need to know, but pray we never need. This book is filled to capacity with common sense, a truly rare thing in this world. If I were to be in a survival situation, I will feel considerably more prepared after reading Cody's two books. As a bonus, the book is funny and Cody is a cool guy. Read this book or you may someday regret not listening to this genius.

    LOVE IT!

I have watched "Dual Survival" for quite some time now, and I think this book by Cody Lundin and "98.6 Degrees - the art of keeping your ass alive" should be required reading!

    The title says it all.

This book presents a very practical mindset and method for survival. This isn't a book about gimmicks, or a simple list of things you should have on hand in case the lights go out. If you read this book and apply what it says, you should be reasonably prepared for almost any emergency.

    Fair

Lots of BS here, should be about 200 pages & $6 BUT I did learn some tips . Overall message: You are on your own and your survival is up to you and that requires a lot more than reading a book.
