Meet the Author

Z. A. Maxfield started writing in 2007 on a dare from her children and never looked back. Pathologically disorganized, and perennially optimistic, she writes as much as she can, reads as much as she dares, and enjoys her time with family and friends. If anyone asks her how a wife and mother of four manages to find time for a writing career, she’ll answer, “It’s amazing what you can accomplish if you give up housework.”

Her published books include Crossing Borders, Epic award finalist St. Nacho’s, Drawn Together, Physical Therapy, Blue Fire, Fugitive Color, and Jacob’s Ladder from Loose Id, The Long Way Home, from Aspen Mountain Press, ePistols at Dawn from Samhain Publishing, and Notturno, Stirring Up Trouble, and Vigil from MLR Press. yes it's mostly graphic sex, but the essence of life long friends falling madly is kind sweet.

Im not a huge fan of short stories but this wasnt too bad. Id love to see a full length novel by the author! My advice, take the plunge and go for it. I think the author has enormous potential

Did not want it to end when it did.

Isn't it amazing how long you can know someone and really not know them until you finally look at them through loving eyes?

I don't understand the reviewer who called this "twisted". I thought it was just lovely. A beautiful expression undying love. I usually archive free books after I've read them, but I'm keeping this one in my library. Well done!

A gay angel who falls in love with "his" human. Poorly written...a total snooze.

Its left to our imagination as to where characters are now, but would enjoy a sequel.

If it was written any other way i would be all for it. This writer took a special concept about a angel and twisted into something just wrong. My imagination refuses to take something that has been taught to me from a very young age and see it twisted into peversion. Im sorry but in my opinion a line was crossed and twisted.
