David Rice's "tell about it, think about it" questions for each lifetime are perfect for engaging a young person in a stimulating conversation. This is a favorite book for children and teachers alike.

Author Biography: Virginia Kroll does not do her writing in a secluded cabin or an ivory tower, but in her own home that bustles with the activities of her six children and other members of the household—including many pets. She is also a prolific writer, at least in the very early hours of the morning when everyone else is asleep. The strength of her compassion and perception come through in her four books published by Dawn: Motherlove, With Love to Earth's Endangered Peoples, Cat! and When God Made the Tree.

Author Biography:As a child in school, Roberta Collier-Morales peered out the window at the trees and mountains, and filled the margins of her papers — even her tests — with pictures. when her teachers moved her away from the window, she learned to draw from her imagination. She graduated with a degree in illustration from Colorado State University, then taught art in both Colorado and New York City. Now a professional illustrator, she lives with her two children and an extended family in Colorado. She has illustrated With Love to Earth's Endangered Peoples and When God Made the Tree for Dawn Publications

Presents thirteen different tree species around the world and describes how they carry out God's plan by supporting people and other animals in a harmonious relationship.
