I like the title because everything is going great for Shannon, but then her father commits suicide, and her world is flipped upside down. Wish it could have ended a little better though

I just got done reding this book. It didnt make me cry, although most of her books do. It was really good. You see how she deals with grief and how she wants to help her Grandmother and Mom deal with it too. Also on the side she has a love and passion for horses. Also There is Mark who is a true friend who helpes her through her grief also.

Shannon Campbell has a great life. She just had a birthday party and got a beautiful horse. When her dad starts to remember Vietnam he starts to have heavy mood-swings. Shannon is worried, but her mother doesn¿t think anything of it. When Shannon and her mother go on a trip, her father commits suicide. They come back to find him. Can Shannon and her mother survive without him? I think When Happily Ever After Ends was an outstanding book and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys life threatening problems. Megan C.

Although all of Lurlene McDaniel's book involve life changing enents hope is always found. I statred reading her books after life played a mean trick on me and would often turn to her books for insperation and courage. Definitly the best series for young people.
