Overview

New York Times bestselling author Beth Kery’s blistering new novel of a man and woman bound by the scandalous secrets of the past—and by the sexual hunger that still fuels their uncontrollable desires…

When I’m With You, Part VIII
When We Are One

In the luxury of Ian’s penthouse, he, Francesca, Lucien and Elise gather for an evening that begins in pleasure and ends in a shattering confrontation—one that finally reveals the secrets of Lucien’s past. And, at Elise’s impulsive urging, the bitter truth that Lucien has hidden for so long is finally exposed. But the reality is more soul tearing than Elise imagined—leaving her with the guilt that she pushed the man she loves too far.

When both Lucien and Ian go to London, Elise is left in self-doubt. Surely Lucien is furious at her for tipping his hand so impetuously—it has been his greatest fear since he met her. With a heavy heart, Elise makes a heartrending decision for both of them. But Lucien has one more reveal for Elise, one that could make or break a relationship that has consumed the both of them. One that could change their futures forever.

It is only 56 pages and the story starts on page 7. Very disappointed and frustrated. This should be in the description. Story not compelling enough to buy part 2 much less part 6 or 7.

I decided that despite the reviews I would give the books a chance. I requested the sample.Very deceptive - to offer
an implied sample of the book and only give  a list of books written and do your credits is not right. I expected to
read at least 5 pages! There were no pages from the book. I belong to a book club and thought I could recommend
the first couple books but I would not feel right doing that. For whatever reason I cannot leave a "1 star"

I did not buy this one because the author pulled this stunt with her last book series. The" book" was only 30 pages long. Then you had to buy 7 other "books" of thirty-forty pages to complete the story. Won't even bother with this one as I see from reviews she did the same thing again.

Okay. Not as good as Because You Are Mine. It started out slowly but picked up toward the end. You do learn more about Ian and Lucien's past...no spoilers.

"I hope you didn't have any other plans this weekend becaus

"I hope you didn't have any other plans this weekend because I plan to spend as much time inside you as is humanly possible"

I think Lucien honestly kept his word on this. When I Need You begins where When You Trust Me #6 leaves off, with a steamy erotic scene filled with multiple O's. I want to know where he gets the energy. Even while they had a nice private intimate dinner at Fusion Elise was consistently being pleasured. I wondered how distracting it was to eat with the plug being inserted the entire time. The two also was able to share a few serious moments with each other, which helps in leading them into a deeper relationship.

I was somewhat surprised when Lucien revealed his latest purchase and offering Elise with the opportunity of partial ownership . I just wondered if this would counter the idea of Elise making her own way. She grew-up having the world handed to her by not only her parents, but past lovers as well.

"... I just wanted your advice on how to get started. You don't have to offer me all of this"
I wish I knew what was going through Elise mind when she agreed to be Lucien's "slave" and turn over complete control for one night. Especially since she is still having a difficult with time letting go and trusting him.

Because every time I feel close to someone, they end up leaving me? Because no matter how hard I tried to please the people in my life, they would rather I wasn't around.

I truly love how this story is starting to unfold. To be honest, I'm a tad sad that it is coming to an end. I can't wait to get my hands on When We Are One which is the last part of this eight part series.

    Love this series, but!!!

Too short. Each book averages only 20-30 pages and not 58-78. While a great story, too short for the $$$$.

I'm so thrilled that this series has managed to keep my attentio

I'm so thrilled that this series has managed to keep my attention. Can I also say that I am relieved that the story line is completely different from Because You Are Mine series.

Yeah Lucien wants to dominant Elise bring structure into Elise life. But who are we kidding whenever he's near her he loses control.

I couldn't believe that Elsie would think that it would go unnoticed by Lucien that she was a virgin. Any man that in tune with someone would definitely notice something like that.

“Take off your panties and lift your dress to your waist. I’m going to pleasure you, and you will return the favor. It’s going to be quick, out of necessity,”

Wow is it possible for Lucien to make a quickie sound any more sexy. He also takes thing a step further but giving Elise a task that seems to be more like a punishment while he away taking care of business. ¿

““And every time you are about to come, I want you to pull the vibrator away and stave off your orgasm. You may apply it again after you have cooled some. When you begin to crest again, you must pull the vibrator away. Picture me telling you that you must.” ¿

    ¿“How many times must I do that before I . . . come?” ..... ¿¿

“Until you imagine me giving you permission to climax. ....“I’m a demanding master, but not a cruel one
