I was very very disappointed with this the sequel to 'Intimate Intentions'. I waited two years for this?? Honey and Jay were introduced to readers in 'Intimate Intentions' with the promise of a great romance. However, this sequel was not a romance in the end at all. I think there was an implied thought that this story would be a suspenseful love story like the story of Terraine and Sasha's story. Jay was a straight up cheater and Honey was better off not having messed with him. Honey may not've known about his constant 'hooking-up' with his baby's momma but still we the reader knew!!! I was disappointed because I was expecting another romance novel and this story was not a romance novel at all. In the end it seemed that Jay would not remain faithful and that Honey was wasting her time (unbeknownst to her) even foolin' with him. Ms. Daniels I say if you are going to write romance stories that have sequels to them then that sequel ought to be a romance as well.
I spotted this book the second I walked into the bookstore and for some reason I knew it would be good. I was right, this book has been added to my list of favs. The plot is very realistic. I found myself rooting for the characters as if they were friends of mine. I really wanted things to work out for Honey and Jay. Their situation was a real life type of ordeal and it kept me thinking and seriously wondering how I would handle the situation. I already have friends trying to snatch it to read next. This book gets four snaps in a circle!
I enjoyed this book...but however...I did not like the ending!
I just finished reading this book and I have to agree with the other reviewer. After all the b.s. Kendra put Jay through, the last thing you read is about him being conflicted about him being able to keep his penis away from Kendra. I mean really?!??!! This story had alot of potential and I was rooting for Jay and was even willing to ignore his little slip up with Kendra. Now I wish I could tell Honey to run away as fast as she can!!!!!!!!! I would say thank God this is only a book but unfortunately, this sad mess happens everyday. Ms. Daniels is a good writer but this story fell short the last couple of chapters. While I don't always expect a happily ever after, this ending was horrible (FRG)
