Meet the Author

Carol Wilson was born in the Bronx, New York, and now resides in Virginia. Her educational background consists of a B.A. in Health Education and a M.Ed. in Special Education. She is a retired schoolteacher of students with Learning Disabilities. She also taught for a short time in a Virginia prison. Her interests consist of reading, music, gardening, and spiritual pursuits.

Kim Davis resides in New York She attended the College of New Rochelle. Ms. Davis is employed at the Harlem Village Academy High School in Manhattan where she held the position of Director of Administration, and is currently the Parent/Teacher Liaison. She enjoys writing poetry because it helps her to express herself and share these feelings with family and friends. Jady's true story inspired Ms. Davis to write it in poetic form.
