When Skeptics Ask, I'll Be Ready

While Geisler could have gone into further detail in some places, he clearly displays a keen knowledge of the evidences for the Christian faith. I for one, after having read this book, feel more confident than ever before that the Christian worldview is the true one. Also, in regards to the previous person's comments, I would like to point out that he fails to address how it is that different translations are so different that the meaning of the Bible is lost. I have not found this to be the case. Nor does he show how the Bible that we have today is radically different from the originals, when nonBiblical external manuscripts and the meticulous history with which it was translated tell us otherwise. Finally, the previous commentator never gives us a standard for life apart from the Bible. You can't fight something with nothing, and that is exactly what he has done. If we are to disbelieve the Bible, we must have another system of beliefs by which to live our lives, and frankly, since I believe that the Bible was written by God, I don't believe that he or anyone else can provide one.

When Will 'Blind Faith' Cease To Be The Answer?

They try and try and try again. Yet, christian apologist and theologians repeated fall back to the blind faith defense. 'You know in your heart that God exist', therefore everything in the old testament is true, therefore everything in the new testament is true. Oh, and by the way, please ignore the little differences between the umpteen different versions of the Bible. After all, you know how it is when it comes to translating, except of course for those who believe that the King James Version is the apex of truth and all other versions fall under the defination of heretical (please also ignore the fact that there are over 1100 words in this edition that either dont mean today what they meant when translated, dont have any meaning today, mean the exact opposite of what they meant when translated, etc.,etc,etc. Once again, the boys havent got it right. If your mind refuses to accept the simplistic and irrational - this ain't the book thats going to bring you to your spiritual home.
