This book was not what I expected. The pictures were okay. I expected a cute showing baby animals with their first snow.

Just a lovely book for wee ones and even older ones. This is a must have for a coffee table book when you have children over!

This excellent book tells the child what the animals do when snow starts falling in the woods. It describes how each animal family gets ready for the winter and the snow that follows. Most of the birds and animals were photographed near the authors' home in a nature preserve. It teaches a small child about nature and how each of these creatures prepares for winter and a snowy environment. From the owl and chipmunk and others, it tells what each does. The photography is, as usual, fantastic.
