    Great For Kids and Parents to Do Together

    I needed a book that would help my children (ages 7 & 9) deal with their Dad's lung cancer diagnosis and prepare them for the changes in our family without focusing on the negative. I am a teacher and looked everywhere for a support group to help the boys express their feelings and fears without feeling like they were the only children to go through this type of experience. This book is wonderful for opening discussion, sharing, and giving parents a look at things the children are going through. The nine year old asked if grownups realize that kids have feelings too. This book opens up the possibilities for bringing the whole family closer during difficult times. I intend to order the Facilitator Guide next. My boys have decided that we can start a support group at our local hospital while Dad is having treatments. Thank you!
