I loved this book! I would buy this book and recommend it to all my friends who love smart, sensual stories with twists that keep you guessing! I tried to predict where things were going and was surprised at almost every turn. It had an epic feel to it; I enjoyed the business part of the story, and how things all came together. The author's descriptive talents are amazing, really painting a picture of the characters, scenes, and locales. Just beautiful. I especially enjoyed the astute observations and brilliant turns of phrase.
The story is about seduction and infidelity as a beautiful but lonely woman goes to Tuscany seeking emotional fulfillment, only to be trapped in a nightmare of desire, deception and betrayal
The sex scenes are beautifully written, wonderfully erotic and exciting. They are well tempered with the business scenes, which were snappy, interesting, and intelligent. I was truly interested in these characters and what was happening to all of them.

A racy, pacy romantic drama about a neglected woman and what happens to her after she is saved from a mob in marrakech by the charismatic jay.
The heroine is yearning excitement. This prequel left me yearning for the full release.

I was not sure what to expect. The cover suggested a raunchy read, and while the writing did titilate, there is much more to this story. Once I started, I was hooked. Apart from what must be every woman's nightmare, trapped in a souk in a country were you do not speak the language, it reminded me of the last holiday I had with my daughter in Marrakech. The author has captured the sights, smells and sounds of the place beautifully, as well as the layout that is like a rabbit warren, with twists and turns, till you reach the relative safety of the square. Tom Barry obviously knows the place and has done his research. As for a neglected wife of a high-flying business man, and the lure of a tall, handsome stranger set in one of the best hotels in the world....Who could ask for more!! The story itself is gripping and fast-moving leaving you yearning for the actual book itself. Hurry up, I for one am waiting.
If I have one suggestion to Mr Barry, it is to change the cover. It's eye-catching and suggestive, but you are not doing yourself justice - the book is really upmarket suspense with intrigue and romance - as well as dollops of humour. This book is so much better than 50 Shades of Grey, more in the class of The Crimson Petal and the White.
