Overview

Simon and Elizabeth are back in book #2 of the Out of Time Series.

Professor Simon Cross and his assistant Elizabeth West have returned from their accidental journey into the past and are adjusting to their new life together as a couple. But an unwanted visit from the Council for Temporal Studies could change everything.

A murder in the past is changing the future, and if the killing isn't stopped, Simon Cross might never be born.

When they arrive in 1906 San Francisco, Elizabeth and Simon have no idea who wants Victor Graham dead or how it will happen. With the earthquake that leveled most of the city just days away, the race to save Graham thrusts them into a complex mystery of jealousy and revenge where murder might be the least of their worries.

I am enjoying the historical settings, the fantasy, the romance & the suspense. Would love to have more time spent on this mysterious Council. Would love for these stories to be longer!

Disappointed....................................................... Liked the first one a lot. I was really looking forward to this one. But I found it really off putting that the heroine was whining she wasn't getting enough space from the hero. What happened? She was drooling over him in the first book. Now that she has him he's cramping her style. They're together 4 months for gods sake. And by the way she didn't have much style to begin with. But I guess having a rich, handsome, brilliant man who you were crazy about return your feelings could be annoying. I was going to read the whole series because the time travel part of it is well done but the relationship issues were nonsense. I'm done.

Just the most tedious kind of sappy romance there is.

I really enjoy these books. The true history and action kept me reading, even when I should be doing something else (like sleepimg or doing housework). Looking forward to reading the next 1.

I really enjoyed. Would have given it a 5 if not for wanting to slap Elizabeth every now and then. I love the writing and the plot and the last page left me wanting more, I am now a third of the way through book 3 in just over a week. Quick, easy reads.

Second book in the so far group of four. Marginally better than the first. Simon is just too whiny for me. He does not seem as if he has much to him. Elizabeth is loved by all as in the first book. The story is not bad there is just no depth no true reason for any of it. I feel as if I am skimming a surface reading it.

I loved this book. I’d read the first and was very excited to see this one come out recently. It’s a time travel story. Simon and Elizabeth go back to 1906 San Francisco just before the earthquake. They must try to prevent a murder which should never have happened. The characters are wonderful and the plot moves quickly. It has a good historical feel to it as well. Well written.
