Simon and Elizabeth are back in book #2 of the Out of Time Series.

Professor Simon Cross and his assistant Elizabeth West have returned from their accidental journey into the past and are adjusting to their new life together as a couple. But an unwanted visit from the Council for Temporal Studies could change everything.

A murder in the past is changing the future, and if the killing isn't stopped, Simon Cross might never be born.

When they arrive in 1906 San Francisco, Elizabeth and Simon have no idea who wants Victor Graham dead or how it will happen. With the earthquake that leveled most of the city just days away, the race to save Graham thrusts them into a complex mystery of jealousy and revenge where murder might be the least of their worries.

The exciting sequel to Out of Time, When the Walls Fell, is a time travel adventure filled with suspense, mystery and romance.

    Disappointed....................................................

Disappointed....................................................... Liked the first one a lot. I was really looking forward to this one. But I found it really off putting that the heroine was whining she wasn't getting enough space from the hero. What happened? She was drooling over him in the first book. Now that she has him he's cramping her style. They're together 4 months for gods sake. And by the way she didn't have much style to begin with. But I guess having a rich, handsome, brilliant man who you were crazy about return your feelings could be annoying. I was going to read the whole series because the time travel part of it is well done but the relationship issues were nonsense. I'm done.

    Awful

Just the most tedious kind of sappy romance there is.

I really enjoyed. Would have given it a 5 if not for wanting to slap Elizabeth every now and then. I love the writing and the plot and the last page left me wanting more, I am now a third of the way through book 3 in just over a week. Quick, easy reads.

    Travel to SF

Second book in the so far group of four. Marginally better than the first. Simon is just too whiny for me. He does not seem as if he has much to him. Elizabeth is loved by all as in the first book. The story is not bad there is just no depth no true reason for any of it. I feel as if I am skimming a surface reading it.

    Paranormal action suspense

I loved this book. I’d read the first and was very excited to see this one come out recently. It’s a time travel story. Simon and Elizabeth go back to 1906 San Francisco just before the earthquake. They must try to prevent a murder which should never have happened. The characters are wonderful and the plot moves quickly. It has a good historical feel to it as well. Well written.

    Lives up to its predecessor!

I absolutely adored OUT OF TIME (the first book in this series). It was a fantastic tale of time travel and romance. So I've been waiting, with high expectations, for the sequel. Dare I say it, but I enjoyed WHEN THE WALLS FELL more than OUT OF TIME. There were plenty of twists and turns to keep me guessing. The plot (time travel with the perfect splash of romance) was masterful. It's kind of like revisiting an old friend...you're reminded of everything you loved about them before, and you quickly fall right back in love with the way they've grown -- that doesn't always happen with books or old friends, sometimes you end up hating what they've turned into. I can assure you that isn't the case with WHEN THE WALLS FELL...it's a great story!

    Extraordinary!

I absolutely loved Out of Time, so I was eager to get my hands on this much-anticipated sequel. It was well worth the wait! This book delves into the characters' personalities more and makes the reader truly connect with them. The plot was exciting, the mystery mysterious, and the romance sweet. As I've come to expect from this author, the writing itself was top notch. Although it's a sequel, I think it would stand alone perfectly well for readers who haven't read Out of Time yet (but they'd be missing out). I highly, HIGHLY recommend this book.
