Meet the Author

Contemporary romance author Clare Kenna has always been in love with a good love story. With that in mind, she writes emotionally gripping, compelling novels with true to life characters that stay with her readers long after they have finished the last page.

Clare, a lifelong storyteller, originally hails from the Eastern United States. She has now escaped the cold and enjoys digging her toes in the golden sand beaches of Southern California with the two loves of her life: her sweet husband and feisty rescue pup.

When she's not writing, Clare enjoys reading a wide range of novels, exploring new places around the world, and fitting in a serious game of bowling now and then (she was a state finalist in high school, but more about that later).

I don'r agree with the previous review about Shane being such a wimp of a man. He and Heidi both went through horribly a horribly tragic time. He is a broken man struggling very hard to come back from the tragedy that forever changed his life. Heidi is a single mom with a troubled young son doing the best that she can. You find yourself really rooting for them to both overcome and be together. I really enjoyed this wonderful and powerful story.

Beautiful story - but have tissues ready The story is about a police officer (Shane) who has built a wall around himself due to an accident and his chief has placed him on desk duty -- for 3-years. In comes a cop with a runaway teen and leaves him at the front desk for Shane to handle. He soon discovers the runaway is a young kid trying to look older. As he is talking with the kid the mother comes into the station to report her son is missing and finds him there. The mother and kid are trying to work through things because the husband/father was killed in a car accident. The kid relates to the police officer through his attempts to help him while playing basketball; but, at the same time the two adults are drawn together until deep-burried secrets are revealed.

I had a hard time putting it down. This book kept me interested start to finish. What I can't understand is someone putting a book down because of grammatical & spelling errors!!! Especially when they can't spell & you can barely read what they have written there are so many errors in the review!!!!!!! PROOF READ. GJRA

Great story with twists and turns you don't see coming. Have the kleenex handy.Shane and Hedi have some real obstacles to overcome and Zackery, her son, helps with that. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for substance, romance & forgiveness. and am looking forward to the next in this series which is Forever My Love. Clare Kenna is a new author for me and is now on my favorite list. cmj

You made the male character so wimpy it was hard to enjoy the story I've read thousands of books over the years and can say this male character was the weakest of all. I don't plan to read other books by this author
