Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Sharon Salluzzo
Baby is looking for Easter Eggs. Where are they hidden? She looks behind the bush, in the laundry basket, behind the flowers, under the picnic table, up in the tree, and behind the gate. She does not find the eggs until the end but at each "lift the flap" there are items that relate to Easter, such as a bonnet, jelly beans, bunnies, and chicks. At last she finds the shiny colored eggs. The celebration can begin. Toddlers always enjoy lifting the flaps to see what is behind them. The little round headed baby changes poses on each page. Children are introduced to a variety of vocabulary-extending prepositions as well as items that relate to Easter. The cardstock flaps are probably not sturdy enough for libraries but the book would be a nice addition to an Easter basket. Reviewer: Sharon Salluzzo

    Great for Tots

Gave this as a brithday present to a one year old. She & her parents loved it because she can play w/it herself & not tear it up. Very colorful. :)

My 18 month old loved this for Easter!

The illustrations are great and the lift a flap is perfect for little hands. We read this book at least 20 times Easter day.

non-religious Easter book for babies and toddlers

My now 2.5 year old granddaughter loves these peek-a-boo books. I started buying them when she was about six months old. I used to help her lift the flaps to discover the secret pictures underneath but now,of course, she does it herself and has been since she was about a year old. I thing we've got five or six books now. I've had to glue a few of the flaps back on but she's old enough now to know not to pull on them too hard. This books are always colorful with cute pictures that are easy for kids to identify and talk about. And because they're the thick cardboard books, they can take a pretty good beating. My granddaughter loves them!

    Great book for little ones.

My great grandaughter (the princess) loved the book. Her big briother (3) lifted the flaps for all the surprises. Not sure who enjoyed it the most.

    Great Book

Great book! My 15 month old daughter loves all of the Karen Katz lift and fold books. I especially like the ones that are affiliated with a holiday. I would definitely recommend this book.
