Overview

Opportunities to serve the Lord beyond church walls abound. Say yes to His call!

Shirley Stahl relates life stories about serving the Lord and then shines the light of God's Word on the lesson to be learned from each story. Each story shows how a servant ventured beyond the security of his or her comfort zone where they encountered people and situations that presented an opportunity to bring Christ on the scene.

Most serving opportunities in this book are beyond the walls of the church building so that expressions of Jesus are taken to strangers in need. These illustrations demonstrate how there are many places to serve, and any hindrance that prevents reaching others can be removed.

The Holy Spirit is the servant's companion who provides the means to serve above and beyond human capabilities, meeting situations with peace and love that flow out of a righteous heart toward others.

Some of Shirley's earliest remembrances are going to church and hearing the stories about Jesus. God's Word has been her constant companion ever since. Shirley has received untold blessings by taking Jesus everywhere she goes: into homes, prisons, churches, rescue missions, check out lanes, and doctor's offices, as opportunity presents itself. She has served over thirty years, teaching people the reality of our risen Lord and walking with Him who shows her the way. She makes her home in western Michigan.
