This is a sweet story that is all about the romance and developing the
characters and their story. Maybe it is because the author is male and
this isn't a traditional "romance" genre book? But I like the
way this author writes. The story starts slowly and builds. It didn't
draw me in immediately but I am also not a wine aficionado. I do like
the PNW and the story was filled with descriptions of light houses,
islands and offbeat places. He is a commercial photographer who has left
the rat race to refinish his sail boat and reconnect with himself. She
is a food and wine critic who is processing and recovering from her
father's death. You have a front row seat to them seeing each other here
and there and finally really getting to know each other. Very nicely
paced story that I would recommend.
This is a very touching story, two people keep meeting up at light houses along the coast, following the same calendar, but they are there for different reasons. He is starting his new life, she is bringing closure to her fathers death. Very touching story, they both have issues to overcome and they eventually get their HEA.
