Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
Birthdays are a big deal, and it does not matter if you are 1 or 91, they are milestones in life. In this board book with large flaps that little fingers will be able to pull, baby is searching for his cake. Could it be in the big gift box with the pink ribbon. No, that box is full of party hats. Perhaps someone has hidden it behind the big flowered green chair. Once again the answer is no, but there are balloons hidden there. Surely it must be under Mommy's bed, but that flap reveals something else—brightly wrapped birthday presents. Well it is not in the refrigerator and not behind the wrapping paper, but wait, what about the living room? Open that flap and you know it will be party time. There are many bright colors and patterns in this book to keep kids looking at the items on each page and under each flap. Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot
