Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
Baby is having a great time looking for his Christmas present. There are several full-page and smaller flaps to lift to help Baby with his search. The present is not in the closet, but there are holiday ornaments stored there. Perhaps it is under the wrapping paper—no just some pretty angels? Could it be in the gingerbread house or under Baby's pillow? Of course not, there is only one place for Baby's present—under the Christmas tree. Baby is dressed in a red sleeper and matching cap decorated with snowflakes. All the items associated with the Christmas holiday are prominently displayed and even a plate of cookies that looks too good to pass up. The foil wrapped present on the cover of this board book will catch young eyes. Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot

This book is cute until the baby finds the present. What is disappointing is that once the present is found, there is no flap to see what is in it. My granddaughter enjoyed opening the flaps throughout the book and was frustrated when there was no flap on the last page. It was a let-down.

My Grandchildren never tire of lifting the flaps. It seems to give them a sense of participating in the reading process.

My baby loves the books by Karen Katz. They have great pictures and few words on each page which makes them easy reads with little ones who like to turn pages. The Christmas book was fun for my little one who only had to look at it a few times to remember what was on each page. I definitely will continue to buy these books!

This book is so cute that young children will love it! The pictures are exciting and keeps young ones entertained when it's read to them. My little neice loves it and when I read it to her, it puts a smile on her face everytime. I definitely recommend this book especially as a gift.
