Where Is My Baby? (Lift-the-Flap Books Series)

Overview

This deceptively simple, excitingly illustrated board book is based on a telling theme - that baby animals are known by names quite different from their parents (cow and calf, goat and kid). The text is perfectly targeted to the youngest children, who will thoroughly enjoy lifting the flaps and matching the baby animals to their mothers. The sumptuously colorful illustrations are sure to catch the rapt attention of the smallest child.

    Perfect Gift for Grandparents

I first came across this book when my granddaughter was an infant. She loved turning the flaps and making the sounds of the baby animals. As she grew, she would identify the smaller features on each page: the bee, the worm, the movement of the sun and arrival of the moon. By the time she was ten months old, we had lost the cover and worn the pages. We had to order another copy.

I now purchase a copy of this book every time one of my friends has a grandbaby. It's the perfect book to cuddle with.

A Perfect Gift for a New Grandma

I have purchased this book for many friends as they became grandmothers. My own granddaughter went through her first copy by ten months. We would read it together and she would look for the worm and the bee. She loved making the sounds of the various animals. We followed the sun from dawn to dusk. So many things to talk about with an infant. We started reading this one when she was six months. When she started talking, she became the "reader." I have pictures of her walking around carrying this book. It replaced a blanket for her. Needless to say, she is a reader to this day.

    Baby Bonding

This darling book calls to be read and reread. Animal mothers concernedly look for and gleefully find their babies on the interactive pages. Toddlers learn correct names for baby animals. More importantly, bonding is stressed. The call around our home is, "Where's my baby?"

    An eye catching favorite

My 13 month old loves to lift the flaps on this colorfully illustrated book. She loves to read it again and again.
