Editorial Reviews

Once Upon a Book Review
"Where is Salami?" ..is a cute rhyming story for children ages 2-5 years old that shows the importance of keeping your pets in their cages and teaches kids more about the animals. The bright and colorful pictures add to the enjoyment of the book. The readers are sure to have fun finding the hidden objects in every picture. Parents and kids should both enjoy the book and I suspect will find themselves reading it over and over. --(Nancy A. Cavanaugh)

Where is Salami is another fun book written in fun rhymes that Donna Shepherd does so well, and is filled with Jack Foster's energetic and expressive illustrations. The little boy telling the story can't understand why his sister, Beth, keeps getting so excited. Just because his pet snake, Salami, is loose in the house! She may very well have more reasons than that to be excited since there seems to be a mouse, spider and various other pets slipping around the house and adding to Beth's fright. As if the adorable rhymes, dynamic illustrations and various pets weren't enough to keep a child's interest, there is also a hidden picture on each page to be discovered.

Reviewed by: Irene S. Roth Synopsis: This is a cute and funny book about siblings, Beth and her little brother who has way too many pets in the house. The pets scare her to death and she has a good reason to be scared because several of them get lost. So, she decides to hide until her brother finds them all and returns them to their various cages and places where they won't scare Beth any longer. Although by the time her little brother finds all the pets, he has a new problem. Overall Thoughts: This is a humorous picture e-book about siblings and how they get along with each other. Boys tend to enjoy having a lot of gory pets while girls don't like exotic pets. Girls like sweet, soft pets who purr and love them but not snakes and rats. Could her brother have too many pets? Beth sure thinks so! This book will appeal to kids of all ages. They will get a real kick out of it.
