This book is about a frog that wants his picture to be in the pretty paintings, but it was hard for him to do because he is small and green and blends in with trees and leaves. It is a short book and easy to read, and the picture paintings are really nice.
I think artist kids would enjoy the book because it is full of nice watercolors, flowers, and the frog is cute. It would make a special gift book for a mother too, because it is beautiful like mom’s are and also moms always like flowers.
I didn’t understand a lot of the information in the back of the book that talked about Mr. Monet’s life and history. For this reason, I give the book 5 stars but recommend the beginning of the book to kids in grades k – 5 and the rest of the book to the parents.
