A 30-song collection of early and mid-'60s girl group rarities, some previously unreleased, from the vaults of the New York-based Scepter and Musicor labels. This is ephemera that can only be recommended to hard-bitten girl group fans, but if you're in that category there are probably enough goodies here to merit a spin. Chief among these is Diane & Annita's tentative 1965 version of "A Groovy Kind of Love" previously only on a French EP, which according to the liners is the original, even predating the one by Patti LaBelle & the Blue Belles which is usually presumed to be the original that was covered by the Mindbenders for a huge hit.
