And while the melodies and lyrics occasionally sink into banality, there's no mistaking the talent and drive that emerge over the course of these 13 tunes. As the told-ya-so title track suggests, underestimating Perez is probably a bad idea.

An Up and Comer on the Move

I must admit that when I first saw this album on the shelf it looked like something that was put together in a week tops. But you know what they say, you can¿t judge something by its cover. So I decided to try it out and I would definitely give it a B on the A-F scale. One of the good things about Amanda is that she is multi-talented, she raps, sings, and writes her own songs. However, you can only say this if you believe that her songs are good and that she can rap. Personally, I believe that Amanda has an beautiful singing voice that really shines in songs like ¿Never¿ and ¿Angel¿. Her rapping skills are ok, but they are nothing spectacular. The lyrics on her slow songs are actually better than the ones on her rap songs. If she continues to write great R&B songs she will definitely gain more recognition in the future.
